This is hard for me to say but I agree. Stipends rarely if ever put someone of the 50 mill mark. It is nation payouts ..... or simple inactivity......that do thast and the time of the payout is easily manipulated already

This is not "anti piracy". This is "pro Europe". Today, people living in Europe is at a clear disadvantage to people living elsewhere.

I like Shadowood's suggestion about changing server midnight every month. That also solves the issue, and maybe in a better way. It was how I originally figured this should be solved.

Simply changing the time changes the people who are affected.

There will still be people who are adversely affected.

It does nothing to change that at all.

Dont get me wrong, I am not against a change to make it fair for all, simply changing the time does not fix the issue, it only chanfes who is affected. Even if you do it on a rolling basis every month.

Come up with a way that doesnt simply change the people affected and I will support it.

Either it will affect piracy, or it will change around on who gets the advantage and who gets the disadvantage, I believe.

By keeping it like today, but changing server midnight every month, things stay like today, but who gets the advantage changes from month to month.

By splitting the effects on two or three times per day, exploiting this becomes slightly harder for pirates, and who gets the advantage changes between the two or three updates.

By splitting it into more, like every hour, things become equal for all, but the piracy effect of the update is removed. The same would happen if we introduced "individual" updates (which would not be possible for nations or kings, but would be for stipends and upkeep).

In order for upkeep to be exploited by pirates, like today, it needs to have a significant effect, like today. Also, it needs to happen when someone is awake while the targets sleep.

I think the effects of today works well, the disadvantage is that it mainly works against European players, and European players can not use this themselves. By changing server midnight every month, things stay like today, but who gets the advantage and who gets the disadvantage changes from month to month.

I think changing it on a monthly basis or something similar would probably be the best choice, while also keeping it to one update a day. That way, everyone will eventually get a time that suits them best, while also getting a time that would hurt them the most. It would ensure everyone get's their day in the sun eventually, so I'm for it.

Another idea would use an alternative to a 24/day clock - such as a 23 hour/day or 25 hour/day clock. This would create a need to remain alert to the day and time, but would accomplish the same objective.

The advantage is the update would benefit everyone at least once a month or so rather than once a year or so....

Just a thought.

I though similarly, however, I wouldn't want to change the game clock from the 24hr day. The game day to RL converter would have to be changed as a result and would really mess up days. Plus I don't think a custom day clock is worth

We could just make the update clock be 25 hrs. So every 25 hrs the update would occur but the game clock would remain the same. So for instance the update would occur at 00:05, then 01:05, 02:05, 03:05, etc.
