Good day all,
I actually see things in reverse, I feel like there should be an increased chance to find something worthwhile, not an increased chance to find something worse off.
You spend 12 hours with a fleet (5 ships and officers), looking for something that may not be there. Your loosing out on (x) fleet trade during that time. I actually feel there should be a chance to receive an upgraded ship based on your efforts. It could be:
Fleet set to salvage for 12 hours:
IF ships are lost in that port, and IF you find one:
- 90% chance to find normal ship lost
If this ship is found 30% chance to find "Captains Treasure Chest found" with gold (size of chest depends on ship type)
- 4% Chance to find a ship "upgrade" when raising. Will be 1 level higher in that ships class. "Calipso blesses the ship that was one with the sea"
- 4% Chance to find the 1 coin ship or "Your efforts were for not, the sea claims this ship for Davey Jones" Ship lost forever.
- 1% chance to find a ship Upgrade to "powerful ship". Will be top ship in that class
- 1% Chance to reassign trait "The sea has washed away past memories, a new coarse awaits"
Some may not like this idea, but i think the possible rewards should be near equal to the effort.
