Laughter is heard as Veera comes in to the tavern, sitting down next to Nelly, who is trembling. Veera just smiles as she speaks.

If my students get themselves killed, then thats their own damn fault. I try to make sure my students know to not overestimate their abilities, and keep out of trouble if they lack the power to defend themselves. And I heavily recommend against blessing my enemies. I would take that as a personal challenge-and believe me when i say i have yet to find a blessing i couldn't break or work around. Everyone and Everything has its weak points.

Carl quickly remarks.

Even you?

Veera laughs.

Even me. I am not a fool, I know I am not invincible, nor am I all knowing or all powerful. I can be tricked, I can be beaten, and I can be killed. Typically, the fools who die the fastest are the ones who, once have power, think themselves invincible or gods- and when you think that, you no longer worry about being attacked or hurt. This almost always leads to your death. King Kiribati, a man you killed Jack, was one who I gave some power to. He thought himself untouchable. He died. Linda, the mage, thought herself untouchable, and lost her mind. As the saying goes, Pride cometh before the fall. And while i am proud of my strength and knowledge, i always remind myself i am not infallible-and that keeps me humble.

The priest shakes his head

''Tis not I that is unbeatable, it is God, who is unbeatable. I'm a mere man, a sinner. However there is no witch, nor demon, nor evil power which can harm me. For as long as I trust the Lord, every demon who sees me flees, not by my own power, but because God is with me. I'm not afraid of you Veera, and I will bless anyone who needs or wants a blessing.

He looks at Veera straight into the eye

Again I say, I'm not afraid. I've no reason to fear you. Also, generally calling oneself humble does not make one humble.

Jack speaks up

Kiribati stabbed himself with my sword, I didn't kill him.

Veera just smiles as she looks the priest back in the eyes before speaking in a rather happy voice.

Believe what you want. But the heads of all the priests I keep lined along my walls who came to kill me are proof enough that faith alone does not protect a man. It's a shame you weren't there to hear their prayers go unanswered as I slaughtered them for intruding upon my home.

And jack, even if you were not the one who killed him, Kiribati wouldn't have committed suicide had you not defeated him. His death was due to you. But I have business to attend to elsewhere. Always a deal needing to be made somewhere by someone.

Veera disappears and Brian and Carl get up and decide to go to sleep. Nelly follows as well.

The priest laughs as veera leaves and calls in voice without a hint of fear

And you should have seen the four most powerful witches in Avonmora attempt to destroy the church in caspian 10 years ago, they were brought to their knees, they simply could not win. They threw everything that they had. Proof that TRUE FAITH is more than enough to send any evil running in terror.

Jack and the priest laugh. And in a happy and joyful voice they both stand up, twirl around three times saying:

May the Lord and his saints preserve us!

Jack and the priest sit down and clink their mugs and begin to chat.

Somewhere in the port, the Wisp flies to a suit of armor, and is absorbed into it, the armor’s eyeslits the spark with a black light, and it starts to move toward Veera’s lair, carrying a poleaxe, a sword and a shield with a old painting of a dragon

Veera's laugh can be heard as she simply states that the challenge is accepted. Nelly simply hisses in anger at the priest.

Mate, just because you don't fear her, you shouldn't go around pissing off Veera like that. She mostly just leaves people alone, but when people provoke, insult or challenge her she is merciless.

Meanwhile Veera appears in front of the suit of armor smiling. She raises her hands and blasts it all the way back into the tavern shattering the wall. Her voice is heard again.

Keep away from my lair, and don't eavesdrop on me again-or you will regret it.

the priest shrugs and says in a rather nonchalant voice:.

I don't care. All I did was merely say what I thought, and why she had no power over me. I did not intend to issue a challenge, but if she wants to fight, so be it.

The suit reforms itself, dark runes glowing on its armor, it seems to be taking space from some bright white ones, the armor seems to be in a better state now.

It gets up and continues to march toward the lair

Veera smiles at the armor as she examines it, after a moment she nods before she goes over to the tavern and waves at it, and blasts it again, this time erasing the runes by melting the armour. She then waits to see what it does, though she does think for a moment before summoning several large beefy scantily dressed men, who she points to Eric and exclaims to have fun and go nuts. The men smile eagerly as they lift him up and drag him upstairs. She takes a seat and brings out some paper and a pen as she examines the armour with interest, making notes and sketches.
