Yes Gaea and Uranus were parents of Chronos and other titans

Also Titan can have more meaning than just greek mythology so why do you think that he chose name Titan because of greek mythology?

But actually it amazes me how you can't come up with any facts to support roos team so you hooked up on the name of Dezs team. I guess you guys are affraid of Dezs team so you wanna show it as a bad team due the name. Well I am affraid that it just shows how bad Roos team is...

Oh yes Dez' team terrifies me, its no wonder they are winning the draft. Oh wait, sorry my bad, they are in 3rd-behind roos team :cannon.

And I have given facts about how roo's teams the best.

As danik said, we have donkeys.
Kangaroo gave an excellent blurb about how we would excel at building a nation, and what all our roles would be.
Your big claim is you have people in various top 10 lists-Well every captain has at least one or 2 names on many of those same lists. Even we do. So your big claim isn't all that great in that context. I can bring up more if you want.

Due donkeys being national animal of Bonaire and Dez having both me and Slin we can claim aswell we have donkeys

I already told history of Avonmora teaches us that 1 player can hold port and nation so that claim about nation is not so great. And as I said even if Roo built nation Dezs team could deatroy that nation in a second. And I am preatty sure that dezs like any other team here can build nation that will dominate so Roos premis is nothing new. And since we are bringing rankings I wonder what rank would it be without those fake accounts created to cast votes but i leave that matger to CJ to resolve

Right now, there are 66 votes in the poll, and there are 55 players on the teams. :o: I hope the low number of voters is due to people weighing their votes very carefully, considering all of the information and debating the merits of each team. :wheel :duel

Most of the team members are well known by anyone who has read player guides, the forums or paid attention as they've played PG. I know I've attacked or been attacked on the plunder board by many of them, been lit up with voodoo by a couple of them, gotten help, advice or expensive lessons
:respect from quite a few of them. But I suspect most of you don't know us rookies very well (I was unfamiliar with a couple of them). So here's what I found by checking biographies and achievements, in the order that we joined the game (only the highest title attained is listed here):

Anne_Bonny #75947
1856 Joined; Fame 659,316; Influence 41,982; 1999 Colonel rank (143 days)

Jack Roberts #76156
1866 Joined; Fame 185,777; Influence 189,078; 1935 Admiral (69 days); 2000 admiral again (134 days)
Achievements: 1938 Built Hideout (72 days); 2010 1,000 battles (144 days)

Bomont #76367
1878 Joined; Fame 1,115,504; Influence 709,411; 1974 Duke (96 days)
Achievements: 1960 Built hideout (82 days); 1989 1,000 battles (111 days)

El Draque #76,506
1887 Joined; Fame 9,209,663; Influence 8,436,074; 1969 Duke (82 days)
Achievements: 1912 Built Hideout (25 days); 2008 Fame milestone 9,918,218 (121 days)

Witte de With #77178
1948 Joined; Fame 482,837; Influence 142,150; 2015 Baron (67 days)

That information may or may not mean much to you, depending on your viewpoint. There are also many other stats that aren't available through the biographies, such as number of ships plundered, number of ships or fleets owned, etc. Certainly different play styles will produce different results.

Congratulations to all of my fellow rookies for being drafted.

Well, I guess I sparked some discussion at least. :)

I was just curious so I looked at the stats available. Then I thought maybe others would be curious too, so I posted them.

I wouldn't let these stats over-ride personal knowledge of the players, but many of us don't have any personal knowledge of all of them, so the stats might give a little insight into their current play-style (which may be only their initial play-style, and might be heavily influenced by their friends/mentors).

Several haven't built hideouts yet. IMO that's a good decision if you aren't working through the titles and approaching getting your MoW. Only a couple of us have reached 1,000 battles. For me, that started because I didn't want to buy all of those captains and then I kept going to get the tutorial reward for 500 ships, then sold off the excess (since I couldn't afford the captains for all of those ships). The most surprising stat to me was how much influence El Draque has accumulated.

Anyway, not knowing several of the players, this was the easiest information to get in order to get an idea (however flawed) of who they are.

That's a fantastic build out you did! Well anyone who knows this game can clearly see that I built up wealth very quickly as a rookie, which may or may not be due to credit purchases lol. But what I do love about this game, is with all the votes, or $hit talk, there is a group of people out there from all different sides and guilds that told me where to stick it, the wealth that is, to get my game going right and for that I am grateful, and you all know who you are.

Im still on plunder mission #9 lol, and I am really impressed with those of you that already hit 1000 battles as I have 33 :D Maybe I should try and get there too...hmmmm :cannon :cannon

Wolfie, stop bringing that up, Jack said to drop it while he handled it. I don't want to start editing or deleting posts mate. And tell me, what did those 1 player nations do? How long did they last and what all did they accomplish? As history will also show that those nations did NOT last long, nor did they hold ports for very long-so far less impressive then what you claim it to be. And destroy it in a second? Please your team is big sure, but it sure as hell aint that big, that is a complete exaggeration on your team's skills and talents. And your one to talk about a premise being nothing new. Like I said-any other captain and team can make the claim "we have people on stat lists". Congrats, you have the same thing everyone else has essentially-nothing special. And as I said, Roo did an exceptional job detailing his plan and roles of everyone in his team.

Dez on the other hand was more or less "I got a bunch of big players". He didn't detail how they fit in, what role they may play, what his strategy of plan would be with his team. Just "I got a bunch of big players, and we plan to conquer avonmora.".

Check your facts they lasted for quiet some time. And you brought this matter once you mentioned rankinfs when clearly ranking of Roos team is questionable.

All what dez did wrong is he went by definition of blurb and not some asspull RP that someone imagined without countig possible obsticals. His idea is same like this one I will surpasa Cdv on every stat. It us possible but it take hell of a lot work and luck to things goes your way. It is nice imagination but it is not what drafg requires

I brought up the vote rankings yes, but YOU brought up the alleged voting fraud-the former is fine to talk about, the latter as Jack said is to be dropped, so don't go and try to blame me for you bringing up something that should have been dropped and forgotten by now.

Second- If you look in the history of ALL the blurbs in the draft the VAST majority of them have always been detailed, and somewhat long. Dez was here for the past ones, so he should have known it is perfectly fine to have a long well written blurb if he wanted to make one.

THIRD-how long do you think is a long time? Many nations held a port for maybe a few days, some maybe a few weeks, but I do not recall a single port owner owning a port for any longer then a month. And that is NOT a long time in my opinion.

Fourth- the draft HAS no requirements. The whole point is to try to make the best team you can, and give a reason or explanation to convince everyone you made the best team. Who you choose for your team, or why you choose them, or what the reason or explanation is can be anything. Hell the next draft could have a captain make a team of only rookie players, and give the reason he believes that a team of rookies would be more able to adapt, be underestimated, and would catch the other teams off guard-And if enough people agree with that logic then he would win. Dez chose great players, I won't deny that. But his reasoning on why his team is the best was subpar in my opinion.

Luck did not get CDV where he is but SHM and BS ae not on the leaderboards now go smack them and tell them they are weak. All I will say is pack a lunch......... a bunch of em.
Holding to the boards as a life preserver is funny at best.
Imagine if you will that everyone was picked for a reason......... on every team.
They all have some merit if you don't agree thats fine but with that cheerleading skirt it's obvious what was on Dezs mind :D :D :D
