Yes Gaea and Uranus were parents of Chronos and other titans

Also Titan can have more meaning than just greek mythology so why do you think that he chose name Titan because of greek mythology?
But actually it amazes me how you can't come up with any facts to support roos team so you hooked up on the name of Dezs team. I guess you guys are affraid of Dezs team so you wanna show it as a bad team due the name. Well I am affraid that it just shows how bad Roos team is...

Oh yes Dez' team terrifies me, its no wonder they are winning the draft. Oh wait, sorry my bad, they are in 3rd-behind roos team .
And I have given facts about how roo's teams the best.
As danik said, we have donkeys.
Kangaroo gave an excellent blurb about how we would excel at building a nation, and what all our roles would be.
Your big claim is you have people in various top 10 lists-Well every captain has at least one or 2 names on many of those same lists. Even we do. So your big claim isn't all that great in that context. I can bring up more if you want.

I hope the low number of voters is due to people weighing their votes very carefully, considering all of the information and debating the merits of each team.
Most of the team members are well known by anyone who has read player guides, the forums or paid attention as they've played PG. I know I've attacked or been attacked on the plunder board by many of them, been lit up with voodoo by a couple of them, gotten help, advice or expensive lessons
from quite a few of them. But I suspect most of you don't know us rookies very well (I was unfamiliar with a couple of them). So here's what I found by checking biographies and achievements, in the order that we joined the game (only the highest title attained is listed here):

That information may or may not mean much to you, depending on your viewpoint. There are also many other stats that aren't available through the biographies, such as number of ships plundered, number of ships or fleets owned, etc. Certainly different play styles will produce different results.
Congratulations to all of my fellow rookies for being drafted.
Well, I guess I sparked some discussion at least.
I was just curious so I looked at the stats available. Then I thought maybe others would be curious too, so I posted them.
I wouldn't let these stats over-ride personal knowledge of the players, but many of us don't have any personal knowledge of all of them, so the stats might give a little insight into their current play-style (which may be only their initial play-style, and might be heavily influenced by their friends/mentors).
Several haven't built hideouts yet. IMO that's a good decision if you aren't working through the titles and approaching getting your MoW. Only a couple of us have reached 1,000 battles. For me, that started because I didn't want to buy all of those captains and then I kept going to get the tutorial reward for 500 ships, then sold off the excess (since I couldn't afford the captains for all of those ships). The most surprising stat to me was how much influence El Draque has accumulated.
Anyway, not knowing several of the players, this was the easiest information to get in order to get an idea (however flawed) of who they are.
Meliva wrote:Wolfie, stop bringing that up, Jack said to drop it while he handled it. I don't want to start editing or deleting posts mate. And tell me, what did those 1 player nations do? How long did they last and what all did they accomplish? As history will also show that those nations did NOT last long, nor did they hold ports for very long-so far less impressive then what you claim it to be. And destroy it in a second? Please your team is big sure, but it sure as hell aint that big, that is a complete exaggeration on your team's skills and talents. And your one to talk about a premise being nothing new. Like I said-any other captain and team can make the claim "we have people on stat lists". Congrats, you have the same thing everyone else has essentially-nothing special. And as I said, Roo did an exceptional job detailing his plan and roles of everyone in his team.
Dez on the other hand was more or less "I got a bunch of big players". He didn't detail how they fit in, what role they may play, what his strategy of plan would be with his team. Just "I got a bunch of big players, and we plan to conquer avonmora.".
