And how the hell did I get included in this. In the last month I have only cast 3 HN's at anyone that was active. All my casts have been at inactives for a specific reason.

Yes, if i see someone lit up on the plunder boards, I take advantage of it. But the only cards I cast were for a specific reason which i then explained after.

My Top 10 comments for the prey. In no particular order.

1 Some of us are guilty of over fishing.
Some of that is blatent and some is just from not paying attention to who our guild mates raided a few days ago.
Overfishing is hurting the game.

2. The number if hits made on a player depend on several things. How many fleets does a player have. If the raiding player wants to clear after 1 round or try to zero the players gold and take ships. How willing the victims guild mates are to sit idle and watch another member burn. To expensive to clear your guild mate. Ask the player or the guild to comp you.

3 The raiding pool is to small. Admin needs to make an easier route for merchants to grow quickly, generating more merchant player retention. We need better routes for them to grow quickly.

4 If I can raid you with a single sloop.
You need to accept the fact that your unwillingness to invest in any kind of defense will be offset by raid losses.
Or spend some of that profit and toss in a few escorts. At least something that will beat a sloop.

5 Either accept your loss as a cost of doing business, or dont. Firm quick response is best. If you cant do it yourself, hire someone or place a bounty. However unless you have the grit to own up to the bounties or contract, we will never know it was you. So while you might feel like justice was served. It will not likely deter us from choosing you as a target in the future, because there is never just 1 person pissed at us.

6 dont complain about getting raided and how unfair it is to be a merchant. Its only going to encourage certain players to hit you again.

7 Don't declare war when a few anti raid curses will do the job. Openly picking a fight just gives an excuse to keep hitting you.

8 Players who are difficult to raid will be chosen less.
Escorts, multiple spread out routes, changing routes occasionly, timed spaced fleet departures or spaced by fleet setup. All make it harder to raid you than 1 route with 100 unarmed fleets that run in a block and arrive at the same time everyday.

9 learn about pirates. Think its easy, Its not.
It takes a lot of activity, recon, waiting and
Either a lot of planing or a very flexible setup.
You might cast voodoo that is cleared before you ever get a single attack in. Someone else might get there before you. You might run up your danger and then your raid fleet gets stolen.
You dont get to log in once a day, hope you have not been raided, cast party cards and do your banking.
Try to think like a pirate. Maybe it will help you understand why you were picked. Most profitable target.
You have a war fleet they want, you are the easiest to raid, you are never around, your guildmates dont clear, or maybe you have other habits that make you a target.

10 If you got lit up and did not get helped.
Maybe you should figure out why.
Inactive guild, guildmates are to cheap to help you,
Guildmates dont have the resources to help you,
Guildmates don't want to help you because you wont help them when they need it, or offer to comp back the aid they gave you. Or maybe they just dont like you.
Perhaphs another guild is the anwser.

And as for nutsack I stated before his ships were garbage granted I let someone who could use them more get them and I was proved right. Now I do collect garbage fleets just for the simple fact that angry traders will raise atts on them with angry levis over time.
Casting and then running to a complete defensive shell for me to dig him out is absolutely a moronic idea.
If you can't see the sense in me lighting up others for him to clear then you are just being argumentative.
Just as he has every other place he has been he gives you lip service and then throws his little jabs here and there trying to stoke a reaction
I grew bored with it.
Natsu is a turd and will forever be a turd as he blocks me after he talks crap and then doesnt want return f yous lol. Some piece a work you got there but keep teaching him you have your work cut out there and should recieve a game badge just for attempting it but it should be shared with all the others who tried teaching him as he has been trying to change his ways and told several before you the same thing he should polish and shine like a diamond but he doesnt. :beer
damages or butthurt received in the posting of these words is solely yours and yours alone

I for the most part agree with WOE's comments, particularly:

1 route with 100 unarmed fleets that run in a block and arrive at the same time everyday

I noticed this even when I was playing as a merchant. There are way too many that allow their fleets to move in blocks. I get there are some limitations to this due to just shear number of fleets, but watching 5+ fleets from the same player enter all at the same time is poor tactics. I get that fleets will stop when raided, but if you are just activating all your fleets at once, you are being lazy.

The only point that I disagree with is that the assumption the predator is pirate. Last time I checked, if you fly a nation flag you aren't a pirate. Privateer maybe, but not a pirate. Don't call yourself a pirate, if you are flying a nation flag.

Privateers have the potential to be worse than pirates.
Multiple revenue streams afford a lot of abusive behavior.

Killed all the merchants. Oh well, guess i will just make money elsewhere. Blown raid. Well my party routes complete in an hour. You stole my war fleet. I can pull 4 escort ships an have a new one in minutes. You sunk my war fleet. Oh let me wreck hunt.

Pirates need mechants healthy. To get by.
They can't afford to blow to many raids or lose to many ships. To much failure not enough merchants available will end a pirate that is play for free.

On the other hand privateers also have lot more to hit back at.
