Raven's flagship, a ship of the line names the Iron Victory, sails out, followed by 2 large frigates as escort, and 6 brigs of war.

Jack, How specific do you need to get with your ships construction. Are you going to tell us about how great the treenails are?

:D no. Just pointing out that because of its construction, that it's hull is stronger than most.

After about 2 days of sailing, Admiral Alexander's fleet quickly begin changing course to Thorakas, as a Hurricane is believed to be forming. The waves are constantly hitting the crew and more then a few end up overboard and needing saving. He signals to Jack's fleet that they should follow suit to Thorakas, or their fleets will be decimated.

After about half a day, the hurricane seems to have moved past and the seas are calming down. It will take a half day to get to Valorim, Where Gale's fleet is supposedly at. He orders his fleet to begin sailing, after resupplying in the port. After about 10 hours of sailing one of his ships gets hit by an explosion. He quickly takes his spyglass and looks about. He curses as he see quite a few naval mines ahead. He begins having shots fired at them to trigger them. He signals to Jack and Raven to do the same. He figures it will take about an hour to clear all of it. And worse still this will signal Gale's fleet that an attack is coming.

John had been one of the first ships to leave Caspians harbor. Before boarding his sloop an old local fisherman called out to him from his small boat

"Best be planning accordingly sir! There be a storm brewing on the central sea up to the caspian straight!"

If John learned anything from his travels, it was to trust the local fisherman who were long in the teeth. The Pelican was a remarkably fast ship, especially when the weather and wind were favorable. He chose to take the eastern coastline past Gasp and then westward to Tzogos using the southern channel.

After a while it seems the last of the mines have been destroyed. The admiral orders a few scout ships to go a bit ahead and look for any more. He doesn't think there will be, as they should reach the island within another 2 hours of sailing-so he expects to find the enemy fleet within the hour. His fleet moves slowly forward. He signals to Jack and Raven to follow behind, and watch for any stray mines. He doesn't know why but he has a bad feeling in his gut.
