I do not want to replicate these effects with new cards in the witch hut. I think the hut should only have expensive recipes, and powerful effects. The effects may have similarities to existing effects, but in my opinion should do something one could not achieve with any combination of existing cards.
There are ways to limit the witch hut, but restrictions on effects that are not super powerful is not the way to do so. Restricting the number of recipes a player can hold is a good way to limit the power of the witch hut.

I disagree. For a Bribe to be worth the cost, one must have an extensive amount of officers already. This allows for a lower cost threshold, but at the risk of having to steal the officer from another player.
