*Standing up from chair with tankard in hand
I'll not have me honor impuned upon, mates....
Justfication for me team choices...(hmmmmrrrr)
As we now seem to have to brag a bit as to why we picked who we did, and Kart be promotin' his way to the swag, I figure I'll get in line to promote me team for a bit of gold, and tell ye me thinkin' on buildin' me team, and why I believe that if this team e'er entered a storm of cannon and witchcraft, you'll find when the smoke slowly drifts away and the voodoo slag clears from the water, you'll be seein' their banners flyin' where they were when the dance started!
*Takes a slug from his tankard
First off, they not be lone wolves - they be used to takin' part as a team where they be now. I figure they will do so if put together as a team, now as well. They be amiable folk that get along with most blokes. They can work alone or with others, no worries.
Secondly, adversary or ally, they be honorable and chivalrous about it. They llke adventure, and aren't afraid of a few cannon balls and witchdoctors, usually laughin' and chattin' the whole time, while dishin' a dose of the nasties right back.
Thirdly, they don't be seeking fame and glory for the sake of doin' it - they have purpose in their actions, so I figure they will have good reason to so start their war engines. They be level headed and take a perspective of the big picture, the long term view of the situation.
*Goes to table, takes bottle and tops of his tankard, while talking
Now I figure I get to tellin' what needs done and how to do it, I be tyin' their hands - they know what needs done and know if they can do it or not. If it needs done, and they can do it, they'll put their hat in the ring. Together, we get the job done. I like it when an adversary truly doesn't know where the strike be comin' from, and in the case of this team, ye ne'er can tell where or how they be comin' at ye - they be an "unknown variable" as I see it. (Heheheherrrr)
They all be able bodied captains. They can be nasty and brutal when need be, but know when it's time to be nasty and brutal. But they first be respectable Ladies and Gentlemen of Avonmora.
*Takes a long drink from the tankard
Finally, they seem to follow the Old Code of Avonmora - Don't start none, won't be none. Even then, they pick their battles, not worryin' about a slight or bump caused by some other bloke at sea.
*Takes another slug from his tankard, which empties it
That said, that be the thinkin' of me team. They don't need me to be a good team - I be glad to be on it meself -
Now I've said me piece, and me tankard be empty.
*sets tankard on the table
That, mates, be why I picked who I picked. They be the best of the lot when it came me turn to chose.
*Settles back into his chair, reaching again for the near empty rum bottle, and pours a bit into his tankard.
