This card is clearly bad for the game. It discourages conflict, as the retaliatory power of a group of these cards is very powerful, nuclear even. as guilds choose not to fight one another, the players individually become increasingly powerful and become several levels removed from newer and especially brand new players. when new players cant dish out a little bit and not expect to get DESTROYED by higher levels, they are likely to leave, and i would propose that has a good deal to do with the mid-road players who seem to be leaving this game frequently. most of the battles ive seen all over the map recently have been players who must have spent Months building trade fleets, just to get bored and go inactive. then a feeding frenzy jumps in to devour the corpse.

this card specifically discourages active playing of this game, and should be removed or at least significantly nerf'd. skyhawks suggestion of making it a Do Damage to Ship card makes ALOT more sense then destroying a level which costs millions to make for a SotL.

i agree this card is so annoying especially if they use 10 on a sotl and 17.5 mil have been wasted
hawks idea well make this game even better

Call leviathans are too destructive. They prevent people from plundering each other because the damage a call leviathan has on a ship is too high. I think call leviathans have been around the game long enough and its time to retire them.

I've been saying the same about this card, Booty Master, Time Spiral and Swarm of Worms but they are still around and some players will fight to keep these things. Voodoo was created to get those who are greedy for power to pay for credits to get extra voodoo. The will of the right-minded will not be answered. If I had my way, no negative voodoo would exist.
Yesterday I gave my all. Today I'll give more. Tomorrow, I'll take back what you took for granted.

Booty Master, Time Spiral, Swarm of Worms are negative cards but they arent nearly as destructive as leviathan. Leviathan has always been the baddest sea monster but now its time to get even with the caster. There should be a 20% chance of attacking one of the castor's ships. This would balance the card more and encourage players to plunder with one another. This 20% chance could not be blocked by mindbar or countercourse.

As long as Master Craftmanship and accordingly master crafted ships exist, Call Leviathan is mandatory.
Also, don't forget there is also Expedition Journey.

I agree, there are reasons that this card exists, when a low level player or even a mid-road player is attacked by a higherlevel player there USUALLY is no recourse, and when "Calling the Cracken" is the ONLY action a player has to say "stop F'N with me!! it should be enough to make ANYBODY think twice about attacking another player, if you dont like the destructive power of the Levithan......DONT ATTACK OTHER PLAYERS!!!!! you'll never know who has one, OR how many they have!! (unless you Crystall Ball them).

Well think about it.. the Leviathan would still have a level loss chance and would still make those maxed out fleets beatable if it dealt damage. In fact with 5 Leviathans dealing damage to each ship it makes the fleet more beatable then making a ship lose 5 levels.

Yes a great strategy for a pirate game: "DONT ATTACK OTHER PLAYERS!"

It seems most of the game has already caught on

not attacking others in a pvp oriented game leads to a stagnant games with a stagnant community, which is extremely boring...who wants a world where nothing can happen cuz an unrealistic thing is there staring at u going "try something *****"...not very fun to watch

Hawk, you missed my point.... I was trying to say that if your going to complain like a snot nosed kid that the newbie destroyed my sol, afterall I ONLY plundered him and took everything he owns??!! then .... well.... I dont quite know what to tell you. and I have a question for a couple of you here.... If one has a fleet of "60's" and is impossable for another to defeat, what could one do....... just automatically do everything the other says he has to do or.... even the playing field, or mabey someone has a better answer, honestly I would like to here it.
