(Legendary) Poseidon's Fleet

Do you have an idea for a card ? Do you want a tweak on existing voodoo cards? Perhaps you even want one of them removed? This is where you can post your suggestion.

What do you think?

DezNutz wrote:As for your Greek mythology and Pirates BS, mermaids were a commonly believed tale during the age of pirates. The best known story of mermaids was a book my Hans Christian Anderson called the Little Mermaid. Despite the Disney remake and theatricality added to alter the ending, Poseidon, the Greek god, was a connected character to mermaids. Another link to Greek Mythology was Calypso, a GREEK sea nymph and daughter of Atlas. So you can stuff your BS about pirates and Greek mythology tale where the sun doesn't shine.

THE SEIRENES (or Sirens) were three sea nymphs who lured sailors to their death with a bewitching song. They were formerly handmaidens of the goddess Persephone. When the girl was secretly abducted by Haides, Demeter gave them the bodies of birds, and sent to assist in the search. They eventually gave up and settled on the flowery island of Anthemoessa.

I am actually laughing at how you mixed up Greek Sirens with Other Mermaids. Sirens were BIRDS, not mermaids.. They are COMPLETELY different.

Also, EVERY culture has some kinda Mermaid in their mythology, and would I support a Mermaid voodoo card, YES, because it was involved with Pirates, but would I support a Siren, NO. And you trying to build some kinda bridge for this gap isn't working.

Note, Nymphs are NOT mermaids.

Nowhere did I mention Sirens, nor did I compare mermaids and nymphs. Your reading comprehension is horrible, as I cleared stated that Calypso, a greek sea nymph, was also common belief of pirates, as another connection to Greek Mythology.

Mermaids have also been reported to lure in prey, whether through song or their beauty to the pirates. I think in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean, the fountain of youth one if I remember correctly, mermaids traveled in large packs and killed sailors by making them stunned by the mermaid's looks. I don't think Deznuts mixed them up... he never said anything about the Mermaids other than Poseidon was connected to them and that they were a common tale in the age of Piracy. He was saying that Calypso was a common reference during this time as well, but not only the nymph, as it was believed there was a goddess named Calypso who was trapped in human form. Correct. Thanks. As for Calypso:
Calypso: A Greek sea nymph, she was a daughter of Atlas. She was the Goddess of Silence. Being a bored lass she made it her point in life to make sure people did not complete there tasks. she was also known as the goddess of deception because of her ability to distract sailors with her beauty only to lead them to ruin and destruction because they failed to pay attention to what they were suppose to be doing.

Links, and sailors is not good enough. Pirates, not sailors. Sailors have been around for over 2000 years, the pirate age hasn't.

Pirates have been around for a long time.
Here you go:

http://www.greekmythology.com/Myths/The_Myths/The_Wanderings_of_Dionysus/the_wanderings_of_dionysus.html

After Dionysus reached adulthood, he decided to wander far and wide, including areas outside of Greece. At the places he visited, he taught people how to cultivate vines, and he initiated them in the mysteries of his cult.
On his way back to his homeplace, Thebes, however, he was spotted by pirates, to whom he appeared as a rich young man; he might even be the son of a king, and certainly looked like his family would pay a substantial amount for his safe return. Happy at their good luck, the pirates seized him....

The pirate age is different and should be centered throughout the game.

"Here you can read about the short period between 1680 and 1730, when pirates were most influential in history of piracy."
http://www.thewayofthepirates.com/piracy-history/golden-age-of-piracy/

The pirates the Greek had were early, and had very little influence. Very little are known of them, making them not relevant.
Only of 8 kinds were known.

Boukris
Dicaearchus of Aetolia
Dionysius the Phocaean
Glaucetas
Panares
Ameinias the Phocian
Taphians
Teleboans

I don't have to prove anything to you. I think that the information I provided within the voodoo is legitimate to be associated with this game.

Great idea DezNuts except all the voodoo you have to sacrifice is worth 100 credits and a phantom man of war fleet isn't worth that making this card not worth very much if it gets implemented, also the time is ridiculous, make it instant.

How about it just consumes 10 random rare cards in your inventory and a player must have 30 different types of rare cards or a 50 percent chance to fail?
hahahahahahahahaha
