Plantation Battles

Any game related discussion can take place here. Examples: Discuss about how bad the merchant rates have been lately, how rich you have became by following this specific strategy which now needs to stop etc etc

Hideouts are port specific. you only have 1 hideout in one port. This will not work.

Yeah I was thinking of having to transport them by ship would work decently with blockades I would think

But with transport them by ship. You would have to plan a raid in months before hand. Like a mega plantation has say around 12 to 15mil workers. Then add fleet danger and the resources it takes to stay a float. Then if I wanted to hit say Lodswe it take me a year to move workers to a port to hit.

If anything it has to be at the ports. Maybe the port holding nation can build a building or the plant owner can in each port. Like the first time getting plants you pay 100 credits each port do the same to have a army building

Well, you can hire crew in the ports to work as your crew- so maybe have an option to hire them as troops for local plantations? The hideout could have a barracks that as you level it up gives troops bonuses represented as time spent training there, or a military academy that lets you organize bigger armies- since leading a squad of 5 soldiers is a lot simpler and easier then an army of a million.

Or the latter can be a academy tech. Lots of ways for the hideout to be used to help with plantations battle.

I would also like to ask what all a governor can do in regards to plantation battles? Can a governor for example, condemn an attacker and penalize them for raiding? Or give them their blessing to raid neighbors to give them a boost?

I feel that this could also factor into port blockades. A governor who constantly plays favorites may see their port blockaded and demanded to be removed from office.

Simple....... not only a governor but a nation.

1. If you raid a plantation in Bermuda port, you lose you operating permission in all bermuda ports.
2. If you raid a plantation of any Bermuda citizen in ANY port , you lose you OP in every Bermuda port.

Kind of puts a damper on the whole plantation raid idea doesn't it. Imagine USVI having that policy, or any nation.

Yes!!!! Do that!!! by the time anyone transports enough to raid some of my plantations I will be dead and buried.

How long and how many fleets would it take to transport 40 mill ..... 50 mill ..... 60 mill soldiers??? and only after they are trained??

Yeah this is a very workable idea.

What if the plantation wars only involved allocated guards both defending and attacking? That would be the army or rather, Raid force. They are the only ones to fight and die. I don't know enough on how the guard house works so im just spitballing here.

Guard house absolutely no function at the moment. It can be made to be anything CJ wants.
