Ever heard of Krav Maga? It is an Israeli martial art that was designed specifically for self defence, and does not worry about the safety or well being of the opponent. Right from the beginning you learn how to disarm someone with a gun or a knife, and that includes ARs. With multiple martial arts backgrounds, I am pretty well rounded. My main MA is BJJ, then Krav Maga, then Kuk Sool Won. All three are self-defense based. Let's be realistic though. The chances that you will actually ever end up in a fight is slim, and the chances that you would also have your AR handy? Very slim. best thing is to always be prepared and not to require any tools like guns or knives to get you out safely. I seriously recommend learning martial arts. They are fun and will prepare you for not only self defense but also other situations like slipping and falling on ice.
PS Mack there is no such thing as a Judo chop
Who hasn't heard of krav Maga?
I see your point because I also learned dissarmament but that only works close up, and generally only against those who dont know how to properly handle a firearm. Those are just kata's to help you learn and think quickly. lol No i would not have my AR handy, thats just silly, but i would have my side arm, and there isnt a fighting style around that can beat a bullet.
didnt you read my post? I did take Martial arts, for may years and yes its good to know i can hold my own if needed, but just remember, no matter how fast you are there s always someone faster but not faster than powder
