Where is the hypocrisy? Was he contracted to protect these businesses? Nope, he took it upon himself to do so. Now, if those two citizens who pointed firearms at a passing crowd were defending their patch, how much threat is a stranger turning up with a rifle in a neighbourhood which was not his?
Cant have it both ways, if one is a reasonable act to protect your home and neighbourhood then chasing out an unknown man bearing arms is as well.
The only person claiming he was guarding businesses is himself. None of the business owners knew him nor claimed him as acting on their behalf. By the way, do you still claim he, at 17, lacks mature judgement enough to bar him from voting? Because his actions sure illustrate exactly that.
A single photo is not evidence of his acts throughout the incident. Personally, taking a loaded weapon you are not permitted to carry into a volatile situation lacks judgement. The odds of it going wayward were far too high. He could just as easily been shot by a cop fearing for their own life. And yep, folk running away in fear from cops get shot too. Hey, maybe he might have been picked up in a plain van by those federal officers running around.
As ever, guilt and innocence get prejudged by your own prejudices. He was a dumb flower, put himself in grave danger and should consider himself damn lucky to get away it.
Saying you served proves ferk all. I knew serving soldiers I wouldn't trust with a pen-knife never mind a loaded weapon. One of the scary things about sitting in an armoured PC with guys like them is that the bullet they loose off because they havent cleared their weapon and you hit a bump... it doesnt go out, it pings around everywhere and kills and maims same as any enemy round. There are idiots in uniforms too, who could recite the drills backwards.. unfortunately, they tended to carry them out backwards too.
So yep, I am gonna keep on making smart-arse comments because that is what your arguments deserve.
