Well since this has become more of a law talk and not a true gun talk, I will talk about my guns:
Favorite hunting rifle that I own is a 45-70 Rossi lever action, oversized lever in rose wood and stainless steel. She is a real dime, went against the traditional ways and added a Nikon prostaff to the top, I hunt real dense woods and prefer to have the scope as our rifle season is bucks only.
One of the guns that means the most to me a is Springfield 1883 trapdoor. My late grandfather gave this gun to me and it is the gun that made me love the 45-70 cartridge. This gun is almost original, other than a sportized stock. =(
I have a few long range rifles that I enjoy, a home "built" (assembled) AR-15 that I recently finished and a few bows. But my favorite method of hunting and target shooting is black powder. I have an old Hawkens (Actually it is a Sears kit gun that they use to sell, that my grandfather put together)in 50 caliber which ignites from the caps. Within the past 5 years I have taken to the modern muzzleloaders and really enjoy hunting with them. I currently use a CVA Optima V2, with 100 gr. BP, 245 HP and love it.
Lastly for pistols, I am a huge revolver fan. My collection is currently empty for them, but my goal is to get some custom work done on a Ruger GP-100 and get it bored out to a 10 mm. I currently own a Springfield Armory X.D. 40, with a 4 inch service model (have to do the periods or it makes a stupid face)
My dream wish is pretty simple:
CZ Redhead 12 gauge for trap/skeet
Sig Sauer P220 Legion 10mm
Ruger Superhawk (I get to inherit a 2nd generation in the family, Ruger Redhawk from my father)
Lastly a custom built .338 Win or a AR in .450 Bushmaster
