Haven't we gone far enough? We nearly quadruple second place in spending. There is absolutely no need for "more spending." The way I see it, some budget cuts need to be made. Too much going into the army, and too little going into the people's need. I think the proxy war versus ISIS which is really US vs Russia is not a means of national importance. It is a utter waste of resources.
Another attempt to destabilize the Middle East just so we can show Russia who has the bigger wallet. Apparently once was not enough.
Haven't we gone far enough with cellular phones, computers, TVs, etc.? Why should Apple or any of those other companies research, develop, and implement new equipment. The existing equipment has "gone far enough".
Haven't we gone far enough with improving Pirates Glory? The game is great as it stands. Why should the developers work on new features or improvements?
You should read up on the concept of deterrence.
Spending billions of dollars on research that never goes into production, while at the same time not updating our military's existing equipment is an inherent problem. A bulk of the equipment that the US military uses is 30+ years old, and instead of updating the existing equipment specifications using modern technology, the bureaucracy of idiots spend money on researching completely new designs. Then there is the waste, which a whole different discussion.

Still, equations will get a lot easier for our children when Pi is officially declared to be 3 again, as one great state used to have it. Intelligent Creation? Surely we only have to look at politicians to see an irrefutable rebuttal of that notion.
Not saying that every state has the best setups, but having education determined by the idiotic bureaucrats in the Federal Government is exponentially worse. Furthermore, that is the point of the elections in the states. If they fail to implement proper policies, you vote them out of office and put someone in there that will, the whole while the education policies are only for that state and not the country as a whole. So if you don't like the education policies in a particular state, you have 49 other choices in which you can move to.
