While Shegorath and Shub-Niggurath remained to fight the Sea Mither, Cthulu warped onto land. His presence somehow made the army of death at his feet invulnerable to Eloth's flames. A voice boomed across the sky:

People of Tortuga. I may be vicious, but I am not without mercy. My quarry in this realm is the woman known as Vune Helvune. Bring her to me before the clock strikes one, and I will spare you. Do not do this, and Tortuga is only the beginning. All of Avonmora will share in the wrath of Ekrath Dul.

A stray bomb lands on the sack of potions, mere seconds from exploding.

Eloth looks up to the giant and shouts angrily in a booming voice as he lifts up his hammer and slams it onto a nearby Lich smashing it to dust and quickly grabs the bomb and tosses it into another Lich's open mouth blowing it up.

You leave my mother outta this, you oversized Sushi Roll. She isn't even in this bloody port you bloody idiot! Her home is somewhere far north of Regis. Not sure where exactly to be honest, but it sure as hell ain't anywhere near here. So how is this port supposed to bring someone to you in less then a day, when it would take at least a week to travel to the closest port to her house? Ya might as well just kill them all now, instead of giving them false hope and a impossible task!

Several nearby citizens also shout, to ignore him and not to kill them now, while a few others quickly begin preparing to go to Regis

Jack in a burst of adrenaline, grabs two liches and smahes their heads into each other. They crack into dust.

Oh really, Eloth? the voice cackled. Not when time and space mean nothing. If you had a map, I believe Regis is now just under 2 hours away.

Eloth shouts back as he continues smashing undead

You would then need to travel north on land looking for a place that is hidden and well protected. I don't even know where it's at, or how to get there, what makes you think a bunch of random folks would be able to find it? Or even if they did find it, to be able to actually seize her and come back? It's a hopeless task. Might as well just kill these folks, as they won't be able to do it even if you gave them a year! Not to mention the fact that the port waters currently are involved in a giant fight! Look out at sea and the battle happening involving countless krakens, leviathans, the Sea Mither, and 2 of your friends or whatever they are to you! You really think anyone could sail past that without being caught in the cross fire!

He Shouts even louder

That's the problem with you eldritch beings! Your ways and motives are nearly impossible for most folks to understand, but that in turn makes it impossible for you idiots to understand the ways motives and abilities of the common man! This is exactly why you guys need to stay where you belong-outside this realm.

Jack takes a good drink from his flask. He looks around nervously, wondering how they're going to get out of this one.

Better to tell these folks the honest truth, then try to act like a merciful savior and lie to them with a impossible job. You oversized, dishonest, overrated Calamari sushi roll.
