I like frigates too.

Here in Pirates Glory, being a Shipwright isn't my mainstream but trading is although I do sell plenty of ships.
Large merchantman and trade gallons sell more steady and keep the credits rolling in!
I have not maxed out shipwright tech yet. It just seems like it would take too long to pay itself off I guess.

Building up to my level as a trader wouldn't be hard. You would just have to logjn regularly and play over time.
I've not done many spectacular things here yet but I have managed to survive a number of big raids and I’ve got 3 crowns. One for Vietnam and 2 for Ireland.

My family name is Irish so I like Ireland. I went there to be king and was hoping to get some others to join but no success.
I got bored on my own and joined a player in Vietnam for a while. I left to go help the USA during war. After the war was over, I got bored again and went back home to my throne.
These days I’m with some of my guildmates in Channel Islands. We have a port and doing okay right now.
So idk, maybe in the future sometime I’ll return home but this is a nice island
and I think I’ll stay for a while.

Traders get raided... a lot. It's part of the game and to be expected when there are Pirates in a pirate game.
It's not hard to just keep playing and don't let a big hit get you down.
You can always rebuild, it's easy enough and you just need a little time that's all.
I think learning about trading is a good start when you first come in to Avonmora because with trading, it’s lower risk than being a pirate and there are good profits to be made being a merchant.
That steady income can make it easier to establish yourself, build a hideout and research techs that you think will help you.
In the early days I built up my warehouses first to ensure I had a steady income from party cards.
I made certain I always had the resources needed to build more ships.
As the numbers of my ships grew, buying Captains became more expensive so I turned more to just building ships and continuing to profit from my party trade fleets.
Shipwrighting is pretty low risk and decent profit.
I can't remember what was happening with the ship-market at the time I arrived but I think you could only sell a ship at a time. Now you can auction multiple ships at once.

I do like contributing to the forums. I like reading what everyone has to say.... especially seeing what fights are going on! lol
The only thing I can think of that I would like to see come into the game is some kind of fame rewards for pirates.
Had I lived in the Golden Age of Piracy, I probably have lived the life of a merchant.as the money seems good.
And I’d try not to break the law too much.
