I think influence should drop faster, not slower. Ports give lots of income, and holding ports is among the "top achievements" in the game. Keeping ports should not be cheaper.

And any one time investment in terms of tech or similar must be expected to soon become the new standard. So introducing a tech which makes something cheaper, must simply be considered making that something cheaper.

How much slower do you want it to be? 0.6% at level 20.

While I would like to see changes to influence and how it works, I see no reason to slow the daily drop lower than it is already at.
