King of The Hill.

Postby Meliva » Sat Sep 05, 2020 8:49 pm

Alright, to bring some action into the game, and to alleviate my own boredom, here is the latest game that I more or less just came up with.

I currently have a Ship of the Line, named King, in a fleet called Hill. Whoever owns the King, by the end of this month, is King of the Hill.

I pledge 100 credits into the prize pool. Anyone else may add to the pool if they want. Feel free to make a thread to make bets on who you think will or will not win also. I'll update this post whenever King is taken. I encourage others to post if they take it or make any attempts to.

The only rules are as follow

No putting the king in the marina.
No renaming the king.

Game starts now. I fully expect to just get completely wrecked, but hey, boredom will make a gal do crazy and stupid things :D.

Edit-quick optional side rule-change your signature to say you're king of the hill, and dare folks to take the crown. I'm doing that right now lol.

Meliva only mentioned that, as I tried to sink the Ship of the Line a few seconds after she posted... :P :P :P

Anyhow, I will not retaliate to any Voodoo Casts against Meliva however I will cast aid Voodoo for her. For example Generosity, Serenity & Purify.

I have also told my guild that they need not give me any aid, I literally asked for this beating, but any who wish to help, I'll certainly be appreciative.

Likewise, while I can't control other guilds, I hope that folks will keep aid to strictly clearing and helpful voodoo and don't attack the challengers to the throne.

Though, it is not against the rules, so guilds can decide on how they wish to treat attackers how they want.

All that really matters is that this brings some action. So hell, maybe more action is just better :D. Have fun everyone.

Great game Mel!!

I’ll put in another 50 credits to the owner of the King at the end of the month.
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!

Well One day Later, and The King is still in my possession. Must say was expecting a lot more events when I woke up today, though since this lasts til the end of the month, I reckon some folks intend to wait a bit before making moves. Why take the king early and put a target on your back after all.

So far, we've had 3 folks make any moves, Magnus, casting a simple spy network and nothing more, and Haron and Clockwork casting several voodoo, though Haron likewise seemed to mostly wish to snap a spy network, while clock did some light damaging voodoo.

My guess is that Merc will be going over that report and making plans to steal the king, or to assess if it's even worth it. Regardless, a good start. Looking forward to who else will be making moves to take the king.

Another day, and the king is still mine. Attacks came a bit more heavily this time, and after a few levi's the king was taken down to level 7. Also a sabotage has taken a point off him, so he isn't quite as mighty as he once was.

Other then that, all 4 of his tails are in fine condition, so the Hill is still a mighty beast to try to climb.

Quick question: Is the king supposed to take efforts to repair and re-level the king, or just leave it as it is? Will you try to bring it back up to level 10?
