How would I use my Devastation ship: Out of Marina, Flying Dutchman to target port, 4 Krakens, five attacks, flying Dutchman to marina, hideout cards, back in marina. Should be done in under a minute. No way I'd leave such a ship out of the marina.

How would I use my 60att SotL fleet if pirates had this trait on a ship?

Look at them in the marina. Leave them there.

Exactly, we already have permanent bonuses via the academy.

I'm not against a perk specifically for pirates. I just don't think this is the one.

And Danik, that was my point exactly. This perk would change everything. And I'm not sure in the best way. Do I think traders should face more dilemmas? Absolutely. Do I want more PvP action? You bet. But I think this perk is not it. It would alter the game completely.

I agree, Haron.

It's a tricky one, finding the balance between risk and reward. Not helped in that not all see it in the same place. For some, the reward is the motivator, for others it is minimising risk.

For some 50 DP on a fleet is high risk so they stop hitting. For others its 500 DP before caution sets in. For a few its 5000 DP.

So the amount of reward to justify another hit differs for each. Not sure any system can cater to both.
