We are not worthy of their presence so the wise course of action is to avoid it.

So just because others are not publicly posting in the forums about the boondoggle that you want to call a draft, they automatically must think the draft was great and didn't have an issue with it.

For someone as logically inclined as you are Danik, I would have expected better. If you want your voice heard, you speak up. As simple as that. Those that sit back idle do so at their own peril. I'm not going to sit by and watch as the PR refuses to admit any fault and call the draft a success. Bad decisions were made and they deserve to be pointed out.

As it stands, the draft continues and the next part is the blurbs and voting. To make it interesting, since it was screwed from the get go, I think it would be interesting to see DTT be listed on the vote.

So DTT had to bow out, if I understand correctly PR group tried to find a quick replacement but was turned down. Because people scheduled their reall life around the draft, im assuming PR team did the nice thing and didnt pause the draft to accommodate those who set aside their real life. I dont think they knew how much it would interfere with a handful of peoples game life, for some (must be bored at home) reason.

I believe they also tried to get DTT back in, but he turned it down again because of RL.

Man, what did you guys decide to have a 2018 Vudu Guild reunion. We all have to admit, what is going on, this is the tradition :)

You would understand wrong. I asked directly and the response I received was the choices they had were postpone indefinitely in attempt to find a replacement or move along with just 4 captains. They made no mention of trying to find a replacement before coming to the decision to move forward. As well, the time from DTT saying he couldn't continue and start of the draft was like 10 minutes (atleast what I was told from several people)

As well, the actual draft traditionally took several days. It was the expectation. So a 1 to 2 day delay wouldn't have effected the time frame of the draft.

Do you think it possible that they did things and didnt report every effort to you? Not saying one way or another, but you may not know everything that happened and when it happened down to the min, nor should you or I or anyone else for that matter. We did what the hosts of the event wanted us to do.

I didn't see you try and run one the past year, do the next one, and try and do it better... we will support you just as we are supporting PR team.

I dont think your right about the draft taking several days, I got hammered by your buddies for taking 5 hours in between one pick?!?

Past drafts have taken 4-6 days.

The reason I hammered you is because you were shit posting in the forum while you had been on the clock for nearly 5 hours.

If you had been in bed sleeping.... running errands or doing whatever real life has you doing.... fine. But you were spending your time posting in discussion forum instead of making your pick.

Really simple. Ask a question and get an answer. It's what happens when you send a PM with a specific question like "Can you explain how you came to the decision to move ahead with 4 captains instead of waiting a day or two, posting the issue to the community, and trying to find a replacement?" and then getting a specific response from them.

Furthermore, they sat around and said nothing when the issue was first brought up after the draft started. Maybe they weren't online, but then who was running the draft? They sat around, waited, and then when all was said and done, played it off like making no effort to find a replacement was fine. No admission to even the possibility that they made a bad call. Just "Everything is fine, we are just going to add more picks". Then my personal favorite from Clock about the concern on how the decision effects donations. Absolutely no forethought in what they did.

So yes, I have more then enough information to draw a sound conclusion. They winged it and rushed through. Then everyone wants to jump on the well they tried, they will learn from this and fix it for the next draft. To fix their mistakes and learn from it, they have to admit to making a mistake. They have yet to do such.

Man... who would have thought this would happen. I ask you this...
1. Is the draft and official PG event with specific rules?
2. Who is Hosting the event?
3. Who sets the rules for the event?

Im pretty sure i have my answers:
1. No
2. PR team
3. The person or group hosting

That is why the rest of us are rolling with it. Its their event, doesnt matter what they did or didnt do... they are the hosts, they set the rules. If we want to take part we can, if we dont we wont. easy peezy

Man i feel like im taking crazy pills here... :D

Actually..... you are wrong.

It is not THEIR event.... they are simply hosting it.

The draft is and always has been a community event. Up until this time around, many of the rules were voted on by the community. Things like
-How do we chose captains
-who is eligible to be drafted
-Draft rotation

etc

The event is completely community based, so the community absolutely has say in things.

Simply go back and read previous draft threads starting with Shadow announcement of draft date. It was almost always announced a month or more in advance.(first mistake this time around)
