Pirates Glory Fantasy Draft VII - 2020 !
It's that time of year again!
To coincide with the commencement of the NFL Virtual Draft,
PGPromo Team would like to announce the opening The Seventh Annual Pirates Glory Fantasy Draft !!!
PGPromo Team reached out to the Kings of all the Port holding Nations. It was decided that the Team Captains for this years Competition should be players that have never been Team Captains before. Kings were given the option of representing their Nation as a Captain, or if they had previously held this honor, they might appoint a Champion from their ranks to sit in their stead.
Here is the line up:

1. Representing the Nation of Bermuda - King Sebena Kacichc
2. Representing the Nation of Hellas - Governor Feniks
3. Representing the Nation of St. Kitts - King Damn the Torpedos
4. Representing the Nation of Tokelau - Governor El Draque
5. Representing the United States of America - King xPROx

PGPromo Team will be putting up the following Prize money (for starters):
1st Place Team - 100,000,000 Gold Coin
2nd Place Team - 50,000,000 Gold Coin
3rd Place Team - 25,000,000 Gold Coin
4th Place Team - 10,000 000 Gold Coin
5th Place Team - 1 Shiny Credit (to be sold and divided equally)

Players are encouraged to pledge money to augment these prizes and / or create their own prizes for various accomplishments as they see fit. Prizes might include Gold, Credits, Ships, or whatever you can think of. Shadowood is continuing to assist with the draft and will handle all prize pool monies and payouts. Pledges and donations should be directed to Shadowood at his Bank - Shady Acres.

You will then have the opportunity to vote for the Fantasy Draft Team of your choice !
Prizes will be awarded according to the number of votes received by each Team.

PGPromo Team approached Lodswe about participating as a Team Captain, or nominating a Champion to represent Spain in the Fantasy Draft. Lodswe declined to act as a Team Captain, and nominated Jim Hawkins to represent Spain. Unfortunately, Jim turned down the nomination and declined to participate. Due to time constraints, PGPromo Team was forced to look elsewhere.

I will donate $10 million to be distrusted as the Promo team sees fit. As always, I will include paying for all fees when processing the payments to team and individuals.

As the official bank of the draft, please send all monies to Shady Acres! I will keep a spreadsheet as always (very transparent as you all know)

I want to thank the Promo Team for stepping up and running this. Real Life for me right now does not allow for it. I hope to resume for future drafts.

I want to second the thanks to the Promo Team. Shadow, the myth, the legend and probably the coolest pic in the game has always done a stellar job but at this time its great to see other stepping up to keep it going while he is busy in RL.

Pirates Glory Fantasy Draft VII - Updates and News
We are happy to report that the order for the selection process in the upcoming Fantasy Draft has been established. After some exhaustive statistical analysis, which consisted of picking a number between 1 and 100, we have determined which Team Captain will pick first, who will pick second, and so on.The Top Secret "Winning Number" was formulated deep in the vaults of Shady Acres Bank by Shadowood's enigmatic random number generator. The Team Captains were then instructed to try to guess what that number is. Rules for this part of the contest are as follows:
Closest guess gets first pick (designated #1 in draft order), next closest second (designated #2 in draft order) etc. Any ties will go to the lower bid. Once all the Captains have their draft numbers, the selection process will proceed as follows:

1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4-5-5 etc.
Serpentine progression, just like Fantasy Football Drafts on-line.  

Here are the guesses that were submitted by our Captains:
1.  King Sebena Kacichc       - picks 13
2.  Governor Feniks               - picks 57
3.  King Damn the Torpedos   -picks 47
4.  Governor El Draque          -picks 23        
5.  King xPROx                       -picks 72

And now, the big reveal -  the Winning Number" is 17 !

The actual date for the selection process has not yet been set. We expect to hold it possibly next weekend or the week after. In the mean time, don't forget to send your pledges for prize money to Shady Acres care of Shadowood.!

If i remember correctly, didnt we donate more that 1 billion in prizes last Draft?

Since it has been a long time since the last draft...... I suggest 2 rounds of rookie picks per team. It can either be last two rounds or simply add an 11th pick to each team.
