Veera nods as they finally near a decent sized house, deep in a remote section of the red-light district. There are no windows on the building, and the door is solid metal with a single keyhole. Veera goes to the door, and knocks on it hard- a few moments passes as no one answers. She grins and snaps a finger as she disappears in a puff of smoke. A moment later the door swings open as Veera steps out and gestures the others to come in as she whispers

Don't make too much noise. Carl, stay here as a lookout, and be ready to alert me if she arrives. Rest of you, come in and start searching the living room first.

Owen starts to rummage through things in the living room.

Hey, i found some news papers stacked up over here, looks like they are all stories about missing men from around vassburg.

He proceeds into the study on the far side of the living room.

Veera looks at the book and smiles as she flips through it

Oh this takes me back, this here is a classic. Somewhat outdated now, but still a very useful book. I got a copy myself back in my home.

Veera takes a look at the book case and looks at the floor, noticing scuff marks. She pushes it aside and see's a passageway leading into a basement. Along with some webs and spiders. It sounds like something is thumping down there. She calls to the others

Be ready for a fight, just in case, as we head down.

"Stop that...and..st..stop any talk of voodoo please..it scares me...and stop disappearing into thin air...That's weird...I'm scared enough, Im beginning to tremble and ramble and I don't like the way my heart is beating either..' Taking a quick glance around her she reluctantly follows them inside..

Suddenly, Abby stops babbling mid sentence and her mouth drops open as she looks up...Her face screws up into an expression of confusion and shock as she points to the air over their heads and mouthing silent words...she ducks to the floor and scrambles under the table mumbling..

Veera quickly looks up and sees a very large spider. Roughly the size of a large dog, along with what appears to be quite a few withered corpses,bones and a very large piece of webbing the seems to be wiggling and thumping against the wall. The spider leaps from the web and quickly moves down into a nearby doorway and runs off. Veera begins stroking her chin as she approaches the webbing. She cuts it loose and helps free the man stuck in it. He stands up, roughly 8 feet tall and very muscular. Veera frowns as she hits him in the gut.

So instead of coming to help me Eloth, you decided to just hook up with the first woman you meet is that it?

Eloth rubs his gut as he stretches and looks around

Sorry cousin. I was going to meet up with you when this real pretty woman invited me to her place. Figured you could wait a night, next thing I know, damn woman has 8 spider legs coming out her back, and I'm swarmed with a ton of spiders. Killed a lotta them before I went down. But I got webbed up.

Veera grumbles as she goes to Abby

Sweetie, I won't lie to you, this is a lot worse then what I was expecting. Would you like to leave and go home? Brian can escort you if you want.

And Owen, I won't force you to stay and fight either if you want to leave. I got my cousin now, so I'm not too worried anymore. But there should be a lot of loot deeper in.

Abby stares straight ahead under the table, clasping her knees and rocking back and forth...She hears Veera's voice from somewhere distant and muffled and slowly she comes back to into the moment....

Taking a few deep breaths, she shakes her head and tries to crawl out from under the table. 'My legs are like jelly, Veera...help me up please...Quick, find my crystal and Ill get out of here....this place gives me the creeps and that..that...that thing I just saw..omg..the work of demons from hell..or something...I have a whole new respect for you, if this is your thing...I need to get out of here...I feel sick but I'm not going without what I came for..."

Veera laughs

No, this certainly isn't my thing. If it were up to me, I'd be back in my home, relaxing and selling services to the locals. Regardless, I was given a job to do, and I gotta do it. Eloth, is there anyone else here we gotta help, and do you know where a crystal is?

Eloth thinks

Nah, no one else, but there is some stuff kept in the way back-there used to be a lotta big spiders there, but I killed most of them.

Carl can be heard shouting that Joro is nearly home. Veera quickly walks down the passage and waves them to follow as she talks.

Alright, I got an idea, we go, kill whatever remains here, then we gang up on Joro. You can leave before we finish her, or just close your eyes, but there is definitely no way I'm letting this woman live at this point.
