My two cents -
In my country, any mention of supporting Trump brings shock and judgement. People change their perspective on you!
I do not know much about it all really apart from what the media brings and a little research.
When Trump was first elected I, like most, figured he may be the anti-Christ. But it wasn't long before my early training to respect the captain, regardless of my likes or dislikes kicked in and the thought to give him a go and do my best to support him.
From that, respect was born and we got on with the job, together.
It seems this has been thrown to the wilderness along with so many other values we were taught when young. It's a changing world. Evolving, hopefully to something better.
BUT...
From where I sit, the Democrats have been relentless in their pursuit to oust the Donald even before being elected. It looks to me like all their energy as a political party has been directed at Trump rather than getting on with their daily service to improve life for the public. I find their attitude hateful and destructive and in the end it will be the Dems who lose.
Surely there is embarrassment on some level for Dem supporters. It looks like childish school yard bullying.
How can there be so much outrage over everyone's behavior all the time, every day, everywhere and yet the so called pillars of society, role models and leaders behave so poorly?
Great way to show the kiddies, the future of the world, how the adults solve their problems.
We have a female politician here, (also a redhead), not a lot unlike Trump, who is also always being trashed.
I think they suffer from the same problem.
While they do honestly express the private-lounge-room-thoughts of a lot of the population, often very un-pc, but truth none the less, the manner in which they deliver same leads to outrage. It is not gentle and soft and politically correct to voice the truth in a way that leaves no question to what is being said. Facts speak for themselves. You cant butter them up if you want to things to change. You have to work with raw material.
Diplomacy is not their greatest asset but the work they do is if they can get beyond the crap. History has proven that.
Good luck to the Donald and the Republicans. Not that I think they need it.
