you were to easy
but i believe from your wording and reaction to jokes that were not stated it was you seeking attention :o:

A priest asks a nun if he can walk her back to the convent. She says,
"Just this once." Upon arriving, he asks if he can kiss her.
She replies, "Well, alright, as long as you don't get into the habit."

not an aussie or an aussie history buff so had to go look lol but it proves the fact a story is needed as they were fighting oppression and so it made them the underdog and people did not hate them as bad although those that turned up for their executions i dont think were fans lol :D :D :D

No argument here..That's what I meant by 'romanticized"..the myths, the legends, the folklore all juicily intertwined with historically proven facts make for unlikely heroes..and yet, here we are..both Ned and Ben along with Captain Moonlight and numerous others fit the bill...and we love 'em :D :D :D

Ned is also the idol of bikers here..the guild-master if you like..They wear beards like his, and knowing a few of them and having been to their parties, (many waaay too wild for even me), Ned is always there, either in paintings, pics, clothing, statues or plaques..Hero status..

Yes underdog v system..The tales or the British police possies (most of whom had been convicts themselves) and the Brits were brutal and known for their bloodthirsty history so their corruption is just as noteworthy..Miners rebelled at Ballarat in Victoria, a silver mining township, flourishing in the 1800's and the uprising that lives on as The Eureka Stockade Rebellion. A hard working Peter Lalor stood at the head of the rebellion..wasn't a great ending I admit..but the oppression points were taken and considered after that..The miners bore a flag..They made their point..Id upload a copy of the flag but have no idea how..lol...and many people have tatts of it or wear the singlets..or fly it still on their flagpoles at home and clubs..It's still such a part major role of the true Aussie psyche 200 years on..It's called the Southern Cross and interestingly was designed by a Canadian..9I tried to paste a photo here but it didn't work..sorry
Also a meanie-head

Poor Mr. Goodfellow, he never knew a thing, but he surely was kindof good at talking. Or at least he thought so. So he was always seeking for quarrels in every port he got in. And in discussions he used to point out the obvious and spin off the topic if he was in trouble. He met so many haters this way, sort of a crave for them.
Such an innocent kind he was. But argueing kept him alive.

i didnt say that i was going to make a disabled joke or anything or the sort, i just said that a canadian comedian was fined for telling a joke

mind you it wasnt about killing the disabled person, he just diagnosed him with ugly :D

but policing comedy is exactly why this "political correctness" that danik champions is increasingly unfavorable for those who truly value the first amendment

Actually.. his 'joke' was that the named individual was terminally ill but wouldnt die so he tried and failed to drown him.
Try researching facts and not just assuming clickbait headlines are all you need to know.

That's down right laughable. That's why in countries like Canada, you can go to jail for using the wrong pronoun. That isn't asking for the same respect. That's forcing people to adhere to their way of thinking.

Where TF do people come up with this stuff ? Where it comes from does not really matter however I feel for the suckers that believe it to be true.
Oh well...like PT Barnum wrote " There is a sucker born every minute" .

All I can say is, it's true ! Stupid people don't know they are stupid.
Now, I must go and bail out my sister from jail for calling her children for supper

Fact check for both you and Danik. No where did I say that you would go to jail for using it once or stipulate the conditions that meet it. For example, refusing to address a biological man as a "she" even after being told which pronoun they prefer to be called can be considered a hate crime and you can go to jail for it. That's an example provided by one of the many news orgs that countered the original story. So yes, you can go to jail for not using the correct pronoun in Canada, there just are additional factors that are considered. Those factors don't negate the cause.

So the only sucker is those that read only what they want and hear only what they want.
