So i had a thought. I was in the military, and one special thing is your ribbon rack, badges and medals. I was thinking, that yes, we have an Achievements page but that maybe that could go a little further.
I thought of breaking it down like this.
You would go to the Profile, and see a section for accolades. In accolades, you could have Current County Flag, Guild Flag and achievements (moved here from first page), Pirate Flag, and a globe (represents awards from other nations)
To start everyone who gives accolades gets to choose from a large group of medals, ribbons, and badges.
So the set up:
1. Kings get to select up to 10 medals (from group) assign them names and accomplishments for that country and three medals to give to non country members.
Examples could be Kings Medal of Service, Silver Star, Peoples Champion, Port maker...etc...
Examples of non country - Champion of TK, Friend of the Crown. etc.
Kings can give out medals for service to the crown and the nation.
2. Guild Masters select up to10 ribbons (from group) assign them names and accomplishments for the guild with the same idea above.
Examples or accomplishments, defence, trading, aiding, clearing, attacking, casting, helping, contracts, Service, etc...
Guild masters can give ribbons for service to the guild and guild members. Also, thought it would be cool if a rank showed for guild as well.
3. Kings and Guild Masters can give Campaign badges - These are selected at the time for large events. Could be wars, port wars, humanitarian relief (population help), Guild wars, or the fighting or guild master can set up specific campaigns with targets to hit that once a member hits the target gets the badge. Kings can also give campaign badges to members of other nations for material support in those campaigns.
Examples - War allies, transporting immigrants, covert operations
4. Pirates get their own special milestone medals, ribbons and badges set by developer at certain milestone points. (Separate from pirate guilds)
So this all comes together at the accolades page where the Current nation Flag, Guild Flag and achievements (moved here from first page), Pirate Flag, and a globe (represents awards from other nations) sits.
When you click each of those you are taken to a page that show when you joined (date for that nation or guild or went pirate), nation flag-Guild Flag-Pirate Flag, then a picture of the medal, ribbon or badge with description, date you earned it and who gave it to you.
Example
(Pic of medal...... TK's Champion - Honoring those who serve the people ..... SHM King of TK...... 2573
(Pic of badge..... Liberation of Kiribati - Defense of Liberty .... SHM King of TK.... 2485
When you change nations or guilds, current medals shift down, there is a page break, and your new flag with date and new accolades are placed there.
I just thought this could be a great way to keep track of history of game play in a visual way, like wearing a ribbon rack. You can get creative and even have one for being a bone head, loosing all your ships etc.
Lastly, when a King or Guildmaster changes, they can elect to keep or replace the current selection, names and meanings.
