It is against the rules to double post, but it is a very minor rule, that doesn't really get enforced. Sort of like jaywalking on an empty street-against the rules, but mostly harmless. I do recommend that instead of double posting you use the edit feature and add on to your first post, as this saves space, but so long as no one goes nuts with double posting I'd normally let folks off with a non official warning.
