Lets get back in 1972. In that year appeared an album named I Can See Clearly Now by the American singer Johnny Nash.
That album sold very very well. He wrote the titletrack but the other single taken from the album was a song that he borrowed from a musician he knew, a foreign musician not well known in the US yet. A boy that wrote this song when he was 22, five years earlier. And so this song became the first successful song outside his country by this young reggae musician from Jamaica.
