But i still think we are all missing the bigger picture here. We can talk about who has votes, the future of the game and even player activity, but the most important issue is...

I made an infantile joke about whether or not Dez is big and bulgy like a moose or not and not one of you had the decency to make a comment at his expense. FOR SHAME all of you! Good day Sir! I said good day!

Why do you assume that they took it as a joke instead of just confirmation of what they already know. They can't help that you don't know.

Personally, I just think this game lacks vision, usually when a game is being made, there is usually that one person with the vision and know how on how to get that done, that's the game designer.

This game not only have no game designer, but a team of random people are put together based on what they said they've done before.

Suggestions should never be taken as game design, but this game does. With a team of random people that goes around approving things that even if accepted, never seen get added into the game. Why? I don't know.

Not only does having the team feels meaningless, the games have stuff added to it randomly based on when it was needed. Not only does this make stuff that would need to be removed in the future which is a complete waste of time, it adds stuff into the game with little point.

CJ is the game designer. He has a vision and rough set of ideas, but those ideas aren't detailed out. That is where the community comes about. Additionally the community may and can present other points that he hasn't considered. Ideas and concepts can change to meet the needs of the game. This is the reality of development.

Let me help the discussion here with my point of view.

Before this, you must really read 2 topics:
Helping in Development - Guide for all
Guides/Rules for Players Dev Team

The second topic, also contains the information in how the Dev Team can process suggestions. I am quoting below:
Guide/Rules for Players Dev Team wrote:-They can approve or disapprove Suggestions found in Suggestions thread based on 4-1 votes.
-They can decide an in-game achievement for players that deserve (and do not already have this) with 5-0 votes. Once decided, the Players Dev Team Coordinator will inform administration in order for the achievement to be given.

As for the point at stake, I am against in changing/improving the rules above. For three reasons:
1)We are still too early for changes.
2)I prefer to keep the rules simple.
3)I am not convinced that requiring a larger number of votes will simplify the process.

I understand that DezNutz wants a broader voting panel to substitute for those not voting. Allowing everyone to vote though, will make this a popularity contest. I mostly seek veteran input to help cover all cases per suggestion.

If the current voting model does not work, there are 2 solutions:
-Replace inactive members with new.
-Get more Dev Team members.

Either or both should solve the issue at hand.

I dont think my ideas have ALL been poorly thought-out or ill-considered so my conclusion is simply that I am out of sync with how others see the games future and their combined opions matter more to the devs than mine.
I may offer criticism of suggestions but I can no longer be arsed to make anything remotely approaching a positive idea cos none have succeeded in the past and why make grief for myself?
The dev team seems more of a PR exercise than a practical method of channelling ideas up to the game developer : its a gate-keeping device and if it achieves that then great.. but it lacks interest for me and I hold out little hope of it achieving any more than that.
So why worry if the voting that controls it is flawed or unfair.. its not like its doing much anyway.

You should join the dev team and vote where you want. Your activity fulfills the requirements. The rest are not really valid.

Especially the part about the PR exercise. If you look at the player suggestions, there are currently 15,000 posts. Around 7000 are still open while we also have 3000 posts at game discussion. We reached a point where 80% of my time was reading forum topics and that needed to change. Thanks to the Dev Team creation, I no longer spent so much time reading the forums.

This also means that if you want the players ideas to be implemented sooner or later, the dev team has to work as designed. Till dev team picks up its pace, we will follow current design pathway (as announced in previous posts), which however lacks community input and as a result is full with priority issues.

I’m with CJ. We have wazz, and despite his activity, he is with us.

Or you can join my team ;)

Humor and derailment set aside, join the fold and set your own pace into the team. Itll make your vote and input have concrete weight to it.
