i do like idea of premium item market. anything the game currently has for creds, could come in tradable pack form. these packs however should be subscription bonuses, not the initial "vip account" feature.

Well, the main idea to be able to buy packs for $, then sell them for credits in the game, would be so people can still have access to premium features without having to spend the money.
Some people just cannot afford to buy the subscription, so there should be a way for them to get one.
Credits can only be bought with money, so the packs would only sell for credits. That way someone had to spend the money to support the game, pass it on to people so more packs are sold. One player can buy 10 packs, sell them and have 10 people get the 30 day subscription bonus. Instead of selling 1 pack and then have 9 people not afford it.
