i could ask dez to place a bounty so i can collect the bounty the ability to collect would be mine as would be the responsibility of the bounty.
none of it can be proven really so my interest in documenting a fun fight is over :(

I had the similar thought of it being an instigation, but thankfully Shadowood is a smart player.

The bounty hunter Tom Lowe did come a knocking this morning to claim some booty! No worries and no matter.

In a 1v1 fight, with turns limiting your ability to do (as much dmg as you want to do), I had briefly thought about placing bounties myself to aid in the hurt that is coming for SMOG. But, I didn't and will slowly devour my prey to savor the taste of victory.

Bounties are a game mechanic that is available to all. I don't mind them, I just need to watch my 6 a little bit more in the weeks to come.
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!

While Bounties are a game mechanic, they take away from it being a 1 v 1 fight, which is the point of this endeavor.

To be fair, there really wasn't any guidelines or rules that shadow mentioned. Hell honestly smog didn't even have to accept this as a 1v1 challenge just because that's what shadow wanted.

I do agree that bounties kinda muddies the water a bit, but ultimately if they do use that mechanic they are using their own gold, and theirs no guarantee that the bounty will be claimed unless they really make it lucrative.

Aye. I brought this upon the community with no rules. It was just me picking on who you all voted for. Other players brought up the 1v1 aspect (which I rather like). So I left my guild as so I wouldn’t have an unfair advantage.

Smog has been a good sport so far. He lost 4 SOTL and congratulated me on a job well done.

Still a **** move no matter who did it. Someone's ego could not let this be what it was. They felt so self important they needed to inject themselves into something that they weren't part of to begin with.

A continuation of the battle!

After hours of ships being sunk, crates pillaged, spirals launched, and men being confused and crosseyes, it seems that SMOG has found his way into Shadowoods liar!

He disguised himself as a noob and rags, and snuck into the guild!

It seems he has Confused shadowood as he was left scratching his beard in daze!

War update:

SMOG has been half-assed locked down. I have Time Spiraled him enough to the point that he can't harm me, but not enough that he can't play in other parts of the game besides Ship Trading.

I commandeered some High Level LMM's and am selling them on the market for a profit.

I got bored so I just stole 4 SOTL and a LF from Wally. Head to the Ship Market for some cheap SOTL. :pirateflag

This has really re-shed some light on a few aspect of the game.
- Once any large ships are stolen, sold, sunk, parked... There is no incentive to cast/waste expensive voodoo going after "lesser" ships.
- Guild Battles are better. More targets, more action. We need more of these.
- More focus on Sea Battles in general is a must
- Port Battles that include Blockades and Forts will aid immensely in the need for larger warships selling the seas
- Better in game NPC battles and/or Quests to help bring out big ships.
- Better incentives for PvP battles

There is more, but my hope is that we can get some of these things this year. I am running out of things to do and making up events to occupy my time should NOT be necessary.
