I recently got hit probably just as hard as this by PK and I hadn't attacked them at all, I didn't complain, its part of the game. I should have defended myself with better voodoo or been part of a guild that w\as able to defend me. Unfortunately the guild I was in had only just got going and we weren't really geared up for that kind of action.

Swampy you just can't let people do this to you! Maybe we could plot something with your guild....

Well I have no intention of involving my guild. ASoT has gone and my new brethren are unlikely to appreciate me embroiling them in something that they had nothing do with.

Still, one day I may turn to piracy and you never know.....as it happens I respect Rolando and co for their hit on me, it was extremely well orchestrated

Well, Iris. I am not sure where the 50 came from. I only cast 32 on you. Big difference is my 32 all did something. Where in your case you wasted 27 good curses to make use of 1.

You give a lesson of "What not to do" when casting voodoo. I seriously have never seen so much wasted spells in my time here. You say you needed two hits on me for a mission. Well i hate to tell you. But there were others on that mission that I guarantee would have come at a much cheaper price. None the less with much less consequences. I mean seriously. When I had a mission I didnt go casting voodoo on the guy way up there that I knew would cause a huge ordeal just cause he was the top points. Those points could always come much easier.

You wasted 12 Hostiles running into my mindbar to land one.
Then you try and take my mindbar off and waste 3 serenities. (might have tried those first?)
But worst of all.. You totally wasted one of the most deadly spells. 9 Ambushes along with a couple of Ravages.

I truthfully, didnt know whether to laugh or cry at that point. Seriously. As for the harm you did. Very minimal. But, being I was gone for the weekend some of my fleets were hit by others. Still not major harm. Lost a few LMs and some fame.

To be honest it was just a terrible play for a very bad reason. Was the retaliation too harsh. Perhaps, but it was just a small showing of how by using only 8 curses and proper planning can achieve complete chaos.

So now you know. Take it as a lesson and learn from it. Lord knows in the short time I have been here. I have learned many myself the hard way. But, never did I complain. I just took them on the chin, paid close attention to my mistakes and made sure that next time. I would play smarter.

But, even I from day one knew one thing for sure.. Don't go casting on someone I couldn't defend myself from. That would be suicide. Hopefully you learned that and wont cut your own throat again.

As for Swampy and Ed Tech. Well as you heard them say. It happens its part of the game. We all take our knocks. Some harder than others. Its the game and thankfully, just a game. You get to wake up tomorrow and play again.

By the way Ed. i had a reply all but done to respond to your letter the other day. Got distracted and lost it. Then had to get to work. When I got back on Rol told me he had talked to you, so I never bothered replying at that point for it seemed he had answered your question.

I apologize, I didn't read all of Joe_Boot's post.

The common courtesy for attacking if in need of a mission is to ask the person for permission to attack and to limited degree. Instead, Iris attacked a Fox hostile guild without A)Permission from me, or notification from me, B)Permission from target. Without those two things, this is seen as a hostile action against a guild where there is a thin red line of cold war. This is at the fault of DoomIris.

On the other hand, the common courtesy when a guild is attacked is to communicate with the opposing guild leader to speak things out first. This is something PK constantly fails to do, communicate. This causes many unnecessary conflict that can very easily be avoided. I would like it, if both sides innitiated in taking the common action to avoid unnecessary conflicts that drive this war to continue.
