I ask that the Monarch is given that power by right, as they had it by right historically : preaching rebellion, sedition or mutiny was punishable by the ultimate censorship of death.
If we are to trust and accept the judgement of the forum moderators, then why does the nation forum require a higher standard of trust or judgement in its moderator? The Monarch rules, after all, advised by their Council : its historically accurate and its practical.
If such power is to be legislated, I would ask it be given as default, then the Monarch and Council can decide to remove it if thats their wish. If they dont want the power, its probably simpler to just not use it.
I'm annoyed when I read the forums of late in my own Dear Nation : racial slurs, mindless spamming, sexualised abuse : and such detritus will remain for ever under current rules, even when the offender is long gone.
I would add : the spamming/trolling/abuse is all against the TOS that all players agree to upon joining the game which apply to all communications with-in it : seems daft to have to bug the admin to sort such stuff out when a moderator can do so simply and quickly, same as they do in the Tavern Forums.
Its about 2 years since I raised this point and I think my argument above still holds true.
