The simplicity of the suggestion makes this idea very worthy. With some minor detail adds this suggestions would be read for implementation.
Some additional points to this to get a final product.
- Player has 24 hours to accept or reject the challenge.
- Can only have 1 Challenge open at a time.
- Challenge Details are provided to the player. Details include the Fleet Name, Ships Types & Levels. No Ship or Fleet IDs.
- Fleets used do not have to travel or be in the same port, but they must be in a port when selected.
- Challenge is a best 3 out of 5 battles match.
- All ships are repaired to full applicable hp automatically at no cost before the first battle and after each battle. At the end of the Challenge, if any ship had damage before the first battle commenced, the ship's damage amount is returned.
- Ship Levels and Attributes at the time of entry are used. (Prevents a player from attacking the challenge fleet then accepting the challenge.)
- Any active voodoo against the player/fleets is ignored during the Challenge Battles. Voodoo has not effect on the Battles.
- Optional Idea: Challenge Pot. Instead of using a fame calculation, Challenger can offer up a bet of Fame and/or Gold Coin in any amount up to 5M Fame/gc each (Limit keeps from outrageous bets and using the Challenge as a storage) . Winner of the challenge takes the pot. Fame and Gold Coin is deducted from the players and placed in the pot. If gold coin is bet in the Challenge, the player must match the gold coin value to accept. Fame is matched automatically and if the challenged player doesn't have enough Fame it uses all available. For example a player bets 5M fame and the other player only has 3M fame. If the challenger wins they only win the 3M fame that was matched. If the challenger loses they lose 5M fame.
