I joined the 8th. Been reading here a it ut the quest told me to make a post, so here goes:
Question about plantations:
Can you only have one at a time or can you have one on each city?
Question about Hideouts:
Is there a way to relocate one once placed?
Some of the guides and tavern discussions seem to imply you can move your goldsmith to a plantation site or move your hideout to another spot, but I don't see any link via the empty hideout.
Question about Ship Numbers:
The Merchant Quests keep telling me to get bigger quantities of ships, 100 ships, 200, ships, 500 ships, and all accompanying personell.
Do these run out at some point? I don't actually like unmanagably large numbers of ships and would rather have few ships that I can focus on phasing up to the highest Qualities.
Question about Ship Types:
Aside from the cutter, Is there a way to tell which warships are meant to be Pirate ships and which are meant to be Noble ships. If I had to guess, the medium ships are meant to be Pirate ships and the Fast ones aside from the sloops are meant to be noble ones?
Question about fleet types:
So I am playing as primarily as a merchant.
I'm working towards 100 Fleets atm, 98 of which are LMM's, and 1 each are my Noble Fleet and my Pirate fleet, each of which is only 1 ship big atm, the cutter and the sloop for the two questlines. Is this fine, or should I develope more of a warfleet or more than one and a noble fleet?
Thank you for your time and please have a very wonderful day.
First Welcome in PG I hope you'll like it here.
Now on answering your questions.
1) Plantation: Yes you can have plantation in every port/city
2) Hideout: Yes you can relocate your hideoutclick on mansion and you will see link saying relocate your hideout. Firt relocation costs 50 credits every other costs 100 credits.
3)Ship quantity question: mission stops at 500 ships if I am not mistaken. you can build/capture ships they don't need to be in fleet to count twoards mission. Most people build/capture howkers as cheapest ships till they hit that number then they sell ships away to the number they feel most comfortable to manage.
4) Ships type question: Every ship can be used their role is not cemented. Almost everyone runs every ship at some point. But most common ships you will see sailing these waters are: Ship of the Line, Large and Regular frigate in war fleets and occasional escort in trade fleets. Large merchntman,Galleon and Trade galleon in trade ships. Sloop,Sloop of War and cutter as a tail ship (5th ship in a fleet). There are other ships sailing these waters aswell but these are most common one.
5) Fleet types question: It's free will you can develope in any way you see it suits your style. For beggining my advice is focus on trade and earning gold coins which then can be used to stash yourself with credits and voodoo cards and doing that you will learn game mechanics on a decent understanding after that all doors are open you can continue being merchant or you can switch on being pirate.
I hope this helps. Enjoy your game and remember that this is YOUR game you dont need follow advices blindly they are here just as a guiding lines. Game shouldn't be work it should be fun so have fun.
