As the meeting begins Veera looks to the fort and just shrugs

Well to be honest, you could use that rod I gave you, and use it to set the teleporter to blow up instead of a normal shut down. That would wipe out the fort easily.

She thinks for a moment before continuing.

And the surrounding areas too. And it would most likely send some massive tidal waves and intense earthquakes that would probably wipe out most of their nation, along with most of their neighbors.

She looks back to the others

You know on second thought, I recommend you don't blow it up. I don't really care about all the people who would die if you did, but there's no god damn way I could cover something like that up from Vune. Regardless, you could ignore the fort for the most part. Just send in a small team to shut down that teleporter, then sneak your way into the capital, capture their leader, and ransom him off for the freedom of the slaves or whatever crap you guys want. Unless anyone else has better ideas.

Well, this super fort is by far their biggest stronghold in the region. If we wipe it and all the other structures here, it would take decades to regain a hold in the region. And that's assuming no one steps in to stop them from trying-in which case it would take a miracle for them to return.

The issue is, is that a fort of this size, defenses and equipment isn't something that can be taken out without serious firepower. And as large as the fleet you all have is, it would take days of nonstop bombarding to do the trick-giving them plenty of time to call in more forces to squash you.

Veera sits down and thinks with a furrowed brow before shrugging

Well, i have 2 potential options, both are not too good. Firstly we go with the blowing up plan. If you redirect the energy just right, it will wipe out the fort, and only cause moderate damage to the nearby areas.

The other is we use it to teleport the fort somewhere else. Like, maybe underwater and let them all drown, or in the middle of a desert. But, since you'd be in the fort when that happens, you'd end up there too.

That's all i got. Up to you which you'd prefer, unless someone has any other ideas.

Oh yeah, we brought plenty of extra barrels of gunpowder expecting a large fight. If placed in key points I would imagine we could easily wipe out a huge portion of that fort. Easily a fifth of it, a third if we really place them in good spots. Maybe half, but that's a bit unlikely.

Of course, that's if we could carry a huge number barrels of gunpowder into their fort without getting killed first-hell a single shot could kill all of us if it hits the barrel. So smuggling in enough barrels of gunpowder is something I highly doubt we could do. Maybe a small group moving in while the fleet distracts them could smuggle in some barrels, maybe a dozen or 2, but there is no way we could smuggle enough in there to wipe it out.

Unless you have an idea of how to get them in there undetected. Personally i like the idea of just using that teleporter to blow up the fort. If we can just contain the damage to this fort and island that would be perfect, but if you have an idea of how to get the barrels in, id be willing to do that to take out the fort.

I agree. We should probably have 2 groups at least. One to fight the defenses at sea to distract them, and then a small group to sneak in to blow the place up. I will personally accompany the group that goes in to blow the place up to assist with doing that. That way I can make sure to minimize the damage done and erase any evidence linking me to this project. We can also check to make sure no slaves or prisoners are in the fort when we blow it up. I believe a group of 1 dozen folks to 2 dozen would be ideal. Small enough to sneak in, but large enough to handle a fight. Who else would wish to plunge into the fort?

Eloth nods to join, though Zephyra decides to help the fleet in it's fight.

Alright, so we will send a group to infiltrate the fort consisting of James, Eloth, Veera and around 10 expertly trained men. We can send them in with rowboat while our fleet engages the fort and the shore batteries. While they all are busy fighting us, the rowboat slinks in to the fort with a bit of magic to hide it, and they go in and get to work.

Once this plan starts we won't be able to make any last minute changes. So are you all agreed and ready to enact it as is? Because as a quick reminder, our fleet won't matter in this fight-all that matters is that the group we send in succeeds. If they fail, the whole mission fails. So we really need our best going in.

Eloth nods, as does Veera as Zephyra speaks.

I feel i would be better suited on the fleet. Im not very talented in close fights or tight spaces. Veera is needed though for the portal stuff and Eloth is a bloody giant. Jack you would probably be better off in the group, but it's fine if you wish to lead your ships.
