Role-Play Chaos in Chalkos

[Meliva]

Eloth just shrugs and continues onward, looking for any openings, and he spots a large cave mouth, with various totems around it-most of which have grisly remains of humans. A Sign nearby reads Gorth's Lair, Keep Out. Eloth tosses a fireball into it, before moving forward. He stops when he hears giggling and snickering from all around, as several dozen goblins leap out, quickly firing a volley of arrows killing a few men, and sticking several into Eloth, who growls in frustration as he grabs the nearest one by it's neck and snaps it, before moving towards the others as they quickly draw blades and rush forward.

Charles draws his sword.

The marines form lines.

the marines fire, killing many and covering the ground with green blood.

The remaining goblins continue their charge forward, leaping onto the men, and quickly gouging out eyes and slashing throats as dozens more come rushing out of nearby holes, around a dozen leap onto Eloth who quickly growls in frustration as he detonates a fireball right at his feet, blasting them off him, before he goes to the nearest hole and slams a large rock into it blocking it off, Brian and Carl meanwhile are fighting back to back, to keep from being swarmed from behind, as Brian smashes them with his mace and Carl hits them with his fist.

The marines begin stabbing with their bayonets, and swing their rifles, kicking them away. Charles fires his pistol and hacks some with his sword.

After a while the remaining goblins crawl back into nearby holes, still laughing and giggling as they retreat. Eloth begins going to each one and sealing them shut with large rocks, while plucking out arrows from his body, grumbling all the while. Brian and Carl looks to the main cave and listens closely, and can hear quite a lot of sound from it. He keeps his shield up and his mace at the ready as he calls back.

Treat the wounded, and make sure all the holes are sealed. We don't want them laying another ambush when we leave. Ill keep watch while you all deal with that.

Malachi and a couple other men quickly g around treating the wounded, any holes seen are quickly covered up

Carl calls out to Eloth as they finish sealing off the holes

Though you said goblins were not much of a problem. They did a lot more damage then I was expecting.

Eloth calls back

Yeah, well goblins are like ants-weak alone but gather enough and they can be dangerous. Didn't help they caught us off guard. Anyway if you all are ready we can head in. I suggest we keep a few men out here as lookouts and guards in case we missed any holes or if some are outside. I can be the vanguard, while Brian and Carl can serve as the rearguard. Charles you and your friends can choose which spot you'd prefer to be in. In the front with me or the back with my buddies. Or in the middle with most of your men.

The group quickly marches in, keeping an eye out for any more goblins or other monsters. After about 5 minutes of walking into the cave, hearing the occasional sound, They spot in a passage to the left a large chamber, with an elevated platform about 20 feet up, with a single door on it. Near the corner in a large steel cage are a couple dozen prisoners, all children, and covered in rags and chains, huddled together. About 2 dozen goblins guard the cage, taking cover behind large rocks and aiming pistols to the group they recently plundered, waiting for them to approach. To the right a large patrol of goblins spot the group and quickly fire a volley of arrows before ducking back around a corner laughing.

Some of the men fire on right, whilst others take potshots at the left so as to not hit any prisoners, the muskets cracking loudly.
