I am not much one for chess I enjoy strategic games but just find chess to be a bit dull after all there is only what is on the board no hidden surprises that I love oh so much.

Chess is full of surprises, you have to think what your opponent might do and think how you'll counter against that. You also have to think what he's thinking about you so you know how to respond to that. See i'm smarting than people think!
