Guild boosters - A guild bank alternative

New Player booster packs.

Guilds can issue booster packs for players under 30 days -
No player can receive more than 1 booster pack

Booster packs are empty and must be filled by members of the guild.

Booster packs are donation based all donations would be subject to corruption fees that go to the game.

Guild members can use credits, turns and gc to make donations to the pack.
donations would be logged, in case a guild chooses to make donations mandatory or a requirement of ranking up in the guild.

The pack can contain a limited combination of items
card booster packs, starter ships, credits, turn packs and gc.

you select the booster pack you want to donate to
then you choose from a universal list of preset items
that are still available to add to the pack

filled packs can then be given to new players by guild leadership.

Guild defense packs.

in a similar fashion I suggest players could donate cards to these packs
or buy cards from the market and place them in these packs.
again donations would be logged, in case a guild chooses to make donations mandatory or a requirement of ranking up in the guild.

again defense packs are donation based all donations would be subject to corruption fees that go to the game.

for guild defense packs. This would be limited to core defensive cards.
serenity, purify, mindbar, countercurse, generosity, and buried treasure.
Each pack could only contain a limited number of each card.

guild leadership can distribute up to 1 pack every 30 days to guild members
to help with defensive measures.

I also still strongly support Wedding registry to help new players

For first wedding only

An announcement in Global events

and the following 25 Gift options
and 10 buried treasure casts

like a registry once a player has sent a gift is is removed from the registry

universal registry - the wedding couple does not choose this list

5 gift cards - only 1 per wedding guest
15 gift credits - only 1 per wedding guest
2 lvl 1 brigs -only 1 per wedding guest - generated as a new ID# ship
2 lvl 1 lmm -only 1 per wedding guest- generated as a new ID# ship
pair of tail ships 1 sloop 1 howker - gifted as a pair ( considered a single gift) - generated as a new ID# ship

10 buried treasure casts are available for those who prefer to send cash
or arrive after all gifts have been given.
- only 1 per wedding guest

Guest can only send 1 gift - not 1 gift from each or different categories

This was interesting anyway. :)
With the limit that only players newer than 30 days may receive gift, many of the cons should be avoided.
Besides, I think that wedding could have a stronger effect on game. The way they are now is just asking in which port are the cutest, marry one of them and then spend 1-4 turns every day to get the daily present.
Instead, for example, if I merry someone from a Nation... but I'll post this in a different thread to avoid derailing this one.

+1 from me.
Stay tuned on Radio Image Bermuda!
.
Are you a new player? Contact me in game and I'll cast a helping voodoo. Consider this like a sort of "tutorial mission".
