no, as in her father, who apparently was either summoned by the cult or was using them. She called him "the old man" because that's what I used to call my father. She also mentioned she was going to go and commit patricide-as in the murder of ones father. She's leaving Charles to deal with john-as she has is more concerned over her father

Charles quickly gets aboard his 44 gun frigate and sails towards where the compass points.

The compass leads him to Baramas, and is pointing to the warehouse district. Local guards tell him of a bunch of shady men hanging about there. Ino the dog simply looks to Charles, as a few local men offer to join up to help clear out the buildings.

The locals shrug

Eh, you don't need to pay us-we can just loot the fellas we kill and capture. Bound to have some valuables on them-its a win-win that way-you get extra help, we clear out some scum, and we make a little profit.

a group of soldiers marches forward, led by a familiar man in a large, feathered hat, the man recognizes Charles and snaps a smart salute

Capitan Du Bois, sir. Fancy seeing you here, we are a following a tip that some strange looking men wearing all black entered this building with a cart of black candles, what brings you here?

The men shake their heads

Well the local garrison don't have any proof that they've done anything illegal quite yet-and they don't have permission to go and check out the warehouses. Pretty sure a few folks higher up got their palms greased to turn a blind eye- the good part of that is since the local garrison is turning a blind eye at the warehouse, they won't get in our way if we go in and solve the issue ourselves.

Du Bois steps forward, and says the following

We are actually looking into the whole incident in Kanoni and any related cult-like activity, on direct orders from the king. We informed him of what happened in Kanoni, and we investigated the camp there, sadly, we were too late, found only charred remains, a strange voice told us to come here, so we came. Do you guys have any idea what happened to the cult in Kanoni?
