Side note, get some sort of priest to go and bless that area, maybe sift through the ashes too. Regardless im fairly certain that john kidnapped the other people the Qilin had in its lair. Rather odd considering he acted as if it only mattered to him if they were loaded up-so him going out of his way to get them is suspicious. You may wish to consider pursuing him and arresting him. I personally mainly wanted to bust up the cult, so my job is done here. If you ever hear about any cults send word to me or my family. Because almost nothing good ever comes out of cults.

I would honestly rather just take his captives away, because I don't know if he's in my jurisdiction. But if Im allowed to pursue him I might.

Believe me-if you bring him to any court at any nation with proof he kidnapped young women and children and had them as cargo, it doesn't matter who you are or what's your rank-any judge would find him guilty if you bring him to them.

Vune quickly stops laughing before saying in a rather serious voice

Although, that's assuming no one fattens the judges pocket to say otherwise. And john seems the type to have plenty of people who could do just that should he require it. So honestly it would probably be better if you just blow his brains out and call it a day. Some people can't be touched legally.

But, thankfully he is not my problem. Anyway, if you need anything before I go, a message to be delivered or a favor to ask, ask now otherwise it might be a while before we meet again-I have a lich to start planning to kill after all.

Vune thinks for a moment. After a few minutes she quickly snaps her fingers, teleports away before returning with some hairs and looks to Charles as she begins messing with them while taking out a compass

Well assuming he has those folks from the Qilin's lair on his ship, I can just use some hairs from them that were left behind, and magic up this compass to point you to whoever the hairs once belonged to.

Granted this might be hair from the Qilin-hard to tell, but given that the Qilin is also chasing him, well it should still point you to where you need to go.

Vune hands him the compass, and nods

Anything else, otherwise I'm gonna go and round up some family and friends to go and hunt down the old man.

Then I wish you luck. Shame I can't help more, but as much as I may wish to rescue those children and women, my patricide takes precedence.

Vune begins to set off, before stopping looking to her dog Ino and turning to her.

Ino, go and help Charles will you? Your my best servant after all, and he could use your help.

The dog nods as Vune turns back to Charles once more

Ino should listen to you, just treat her right. She's pretty good at tracking, and killing too. Anyway good luck. I suggest you hop aboard your ship and sail after John.

Vune leaves, as Ino just looks to Charles waiting.

Vune pauses and just replies

You mean mine? I have a lot of friends, but for family I have my mother-who I hate, my father-who I hate, my older half-brother-who I really hate, my sister who I love, and my 2 kids-who I love. And 3 nieces who I love. I have other family too, mother had many kids, but most I have not met, probably would hate most of them though. Regardless, I really need to go now-gotta round up the family I like to help me kill the ones I don't.

You should probably hop on your ship and start pursuing John-if you wait too long you won't be able to catch him.

Vune teleports away, leaving her dog Ino.
