RP- Kidnappings in Kanoni

Burt shakes his head

Nah, the whores are always doing that sort of stuff. Its good business for them. Well good business for the brothels anyway, whores themselves might not like it too much. I'm talking about all the kids who keep going missing, along with other young women-for whatever reason any young woman who's a whore is more or less left alone. A good chunk of people think it's cultists-what with that belief that virgin blood is good for sacrificing and what not. And a few folks claim they been seeing robed folk wandering around.

Though there are rumors of slavers in the area- so wouldn't surprise me if they be taking kids to raise as slaves. Easier to pick them up then go after grown men like you and me. Regardless of who be doing it, I personally want it to stop. If all the kids get stolen, well I won't be having any customers of the next generation given they all got taken.

Charles says

Vune just points to the door.

Well right now I'm waiting for a servant of mine to come back and give a report. Pretty sure she should be able to find at least one of the culprits- she's my best servant after all.

She turns to John.

So you wanna come along and help, or just stay here and drink? Name's Vune by the way, since I don't believe we've met. The angry woman here is Veera, my niece.

The midshipman pokes his head through the door and says in a meek voice

The marines are here sir and waiting outside ready for when you need them

Charles coughs

Good.

[DezNutz]

John looks at Burt

And where do you think these whores come from? They just magically appear. Ah.. forget it.

John gets up and heads towards the dock where his ship is being loaded.

Burt rolls his eyes and responds before he leaves

Only a complete fool would kidnap a young woman and then try to whore her out in the very same port they took her. Since that woman's friends or family would easily be able to find her with a bit of searching. And there's a very good chunk of guards at the docks constantly checking the cargo-trying to take them out that way would be next to impossible, and the local plantations likewise wouldn't be a bloody good place to take local whores you kidnapped-plenty of folks here work for them, and it wouldn't be hard for a local worker to find a missing relative by accident.

These folks getting nabbed are being taken by land somewhere else.

After a bit longer a dog walks in up to Vune, who kneels down and pets it before speaking

Good girl Ino, you find one of the hideouts?

The dog nods and Vune gets back up.

Alright my faithful little servant found a hideout, you all ready to go?

Charles nods

[Meliva]

Vune turns to Ino

Lead the way.

The dog turns around walks out of the tavern and begins heading towards the forest. Vune walking behind her, with Veera just grumbling further back. A few other men follow suit-other volunteers. Vune whispers to Charles

Keep an eye open. Never know if someone has an ambush ready-and keep an eye on all the other volunteers. Quite possible a few are spies from the kidnappers.

Charles nods. Around 14 Marines follow them as well.
