yeah, I don't use ships bigger then a flag for my escorts. Too tempting for pirates like yourself. ;)

Another tip to traders-escorts are good to have, but don't make them too tempting for a ship raid. Proper tails also are a must.

Maxing out spanish tech, then using FG for escorts is a good combo in my opinon. Makes them able to handle most ships, boosts their speed, and they generally are too meh for a pirate to really want them :D

I used to run mow escorts. Shadow stole one but it was a tough fight for him even tho i wasnt online LOL

He did very well honestly. He was very close to failing from my setup. He actually didnt profit

Good old number 20! Yep old Shadowood had a grey haired moment and forgot to put on Ad Piracy. That little extra loot I missed out on almost cost me the raid and cost me a few more Ambush then I would have liked. But in the end... #20 was home where she belonged.

:D

Now who has #21??
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!

Got to remember folks; back when TPK (PK) was active; this was an everyday norm in Avonmora. Captain Jack even admitted in Slack, battles use to be a lot harsher then they are now.

Draque what did I say to you when you made your first forum post about this?

I said, there is/has been someone that has lost a lot more then you - Always is.

I remember when I had 800,000,000 Influence in St.Martins - Even towering above PhoenixKnight in Influence, now where is it? If you look, I have less then 500,000 in Influence. Yes; not all of it was in gold coins. But a steady 300,000,000 gold coins were spent, all of my own money.

How about starting over a new account? Imagine what thats like. As I did such.

How about people setting over 400 Million gold coins in Bountys on you. Agreed not all was collected, but such thing drags on you. :)

Remember, such is life. :)

You learn from these experiances. Get up, and never back down.

Pirate Glory is a game that is made where people can lose almost everything in 1 day. It's a game that lacks layers to defence when it comes to before you start losing everything.

It's a game that is made in a way where people have only 2 layers. The outer layer, consist of almost everything you have that you can lose very easily (Ships). The inner layer that consist of little of your stuff, that is costly to build up but is or almost impregnable (Hideout).

See it like a potato plant.

You are ignoring a third layer, the guild. In an active guild where players look after each other a raid like this can't happen. The social aspect of this game cannot be ignored, its what makes PG the game that it is. El Draque needs new friends.

Maybe so, I didn't count assets coming from other players.

It would be like a group of potato plants that has linked roots.

Once upon a time, at this game, at Avonmora, this was a daily event.

The major difference was that the only real way to have a backbone back then was to have tools in warehouses. Usually spread, to lower warehouses stock. 50k tools was 1M gc. Stocking around 1M tools, was about 20M. That's all.

And the raiders, would spend the gold they would make right away.

Now you have banks mate and an awful lot of extra options that allow you to rebuild instantly. There is really no excuse. There never was.

El Draque I'm glad you're not in quitting mode for now. We were guildmates for a little while and I would hate to see you leave.

Everyone has made awesome points about bouncing back. I've never been zeroed out. I have been hit pretty hard a few times. I'm confident that I'm prepared for a zero out if it ever happens. I've implemented all the backbones that everyone has mentioned.

Devastation is always around the corner in this game. The players that have caused me the most grief have been my best teachers and in some cases are now my friends.

I have to admit. If I see someone lit up I don't stop to think if they're disabled in RL. I plunder right away. If I don't, someone else will.

This post is a good reminder for all us on how important good guildmates can be. I myself need to be paying better attention to my guildmates activity when I'm logged in. I didn't think the new guild battles update on the guild page was a big deal. Until I read this post. Now I understand it's importance.
