No no, not asking how they decided to attack. I’m simply making the point that he can’t really use the fact that he was sick versus just not on to make the attack seem worse, as VUDU couldn’t know the reason he is not on

a few points here..... to lose all you ships you were lit for not a few hours...... but a min od 12 hours. 1 or two rounds to drain gold and minimum of 5 rounds to take the ships....... so more than a few hours. Probably 10-14 hrs. This is honestly a failure of a guild.

I have been cleaned out a few times so i know what it is like. Good news is all you need is a sloop or two and you can rebuild quickly. I lost over 500 ships. It took me a week to be right back to where I was and started with a frig and a tail.

Also, I checked UK forum.... no mention of it there. I am pretty sure IoM does not haver anything in their forums either. I did see something in guild chat about it, but only after you were already dropping ships.

I am pretty sure VUDU was not the sole responsible party here. Cards may have originated from a VUDU member, but looking at the number of players on the plunder boards now.... I am sure everyone with a war fleet joined in..... including some players that normally trade only.

There are plenty here that will be willing to help you rebuild if you request it..... including some that took your ships.

Learn .... adapt ..... overcome.

Something everyone should remember with this game, it is true that with enough effort someone, or a group of people can really devastate what you have. Which is why one should always have some backbones ready. Learn from your loss-make it to where it would be harder for them to do such a blow a second time, and if it keeps going for too long, well give them a taste of their own medicine. Change your playstyle, and strike some good old fear into those buggers who bug you.

For a simple example, If a bully takes your lunch and you just let it happen, that bugger will come back tomorrow for another easy free meal. So either deck him and tell him to find someone else, or if said bully is bigger, put something in that lunch and make him think twice with brain over brawn.

just something you need to learn in this game, and in real life in general honestly. Always gonna be someone who wants what you have and will take it from you. If you just let it happen with no retaliation your just giving the bugger incentive to keep it up.

But a few bits of advice on how to save yourself from losing everything in this game for those interested.

Backbones-get at least 2-3 different kinds for max security. Things that are hard to take and can help rebuild.

Gold in a bank(especially your own) sure blacklist will lock you out, but sooner or later the raid ends, and now you have gold to start rebuilding.

Credits-100% safe, nothing can touch it, can be used to get gold, ships, turns and voodoo, quite easily the best backbone to have. Keep at least a hundred at all times-enough to buy a good chunk of trade ships in a hurry, or get several quick packs.

Storing tools or bars in ports for quick cash without needing turns for a bank-a bit more risky-OLoD can hurt this, so can terrorize, but isn't a bad thing to have just in case-and easy to do. Buy 500 bars in each port, and bam, that's 20 ports you can get a quick mil from.

I said 20 because you can't sell bars in your hideout if you have a smith, which I have so I picked the number that I used. But yes if you do not have a smith then it is 21.

Clarification:
I was in bed for a few days so not to get my toddler sick.
I didnt loose 500 ships, i lost almost 500 fleets of 5 ships
I very much appreciate all those telling me to get back up
Those who say s**k it up, thats the game, kinda s**k, but your right.

However, maybe I will try a different path for a while, Being a peaceful trader for a long time i have a lot of gold, a lot of voodoo and like 5 ships left. When I first joined that guy Sahqon was great at using Vudu when someone hit him and he got wiped to return the favor.
