Zephyra and Eloth take off to the south following the invaders fleet, while Burt just looks at the ocean as he puts some cloth over his nose and mouth as he turns to Jack

You know, you might want to make some plans to leave the island and stay at another hideout just in case Emily can't undo this damage-or if it will take her some time to do. This water will make everyone sick if we stick around for too long, and if it rains anytime soon then this entire island is going to be very barren very quickly if this taint follows the water into the clouds.

I don't have a hideout that'll hold all my men and the citizens, besides we have an underground cistern with a good amount of water in it, and a good amount of emerge food stored, hard tack. We could also spare some cattle to make some salt beef, but not much. We already have a good supply of the stuff anyway

Burt just shakes his head

Food is a concern, but it ain't just the food we need to worry about. Look at all those fish and other critters dead in that water. They obviously didn't all starve to death in seconds-which means that crap did one of 2 things to kill them. It either made them unable to breath the water like they normally do, or something about it killed them-like a poison. If it's the former then we don't need to worry about it too much-but given how those fish look I would say it's the latter. Which means touching that water will hurt us if not kill us in high amounts. Rather wish I knew just how dangerous it was.

Emily walks out of her lair with Bob, and they go up to the water. Emily pushes him in, and watches as he quickly dies as she takes some notes. a while later Bob gets up, and promptly runs away. Emily just shrugs and shouts to Jack

Yeah, make sure not to touch that water. I might have some way of fixing it in a bit. Just, be careful. Also be sure not to get caught in the rain.

Also I can't just leave the fort and all these weapons lying around. Come to think to think of it, we technically don't need much water anyway, most of it tastes like shit anyway, so we drink spirits. Albeit light spirits but spirits all the same. Speaking of which I'll think I'll have a quick pint, wouldn't do me any harm.

Jack orders that none of the water is to be touched and that if if it looks like it'll rain to get indoors.

After about a day, Eloth and Zephyra quickly return, Eloth shouts to Emily and Jack when he sees them.

Hey, those buggers are coming back up north, they met up with some friends and about 40 ships are heading back here.

Emily shrugs and continues looking at all the toxins.

Well, hopefully they won't dump any more of this crap on us. Granted it's pretty interesting, definitely going to try to figure out how to make some myself, but damn is it hard to figure out to undo.

Eloth shrugs

okay. There not line of the battle ships.

Zephyra rolls her eyes and sighs

Eloth, that's not what he bloody meant. Sorry Jack, a good chunk of them are. 30. The other 10 are frigs. Granted with me and Eloth, along with some of Emily's defenses we can help you fight them off.

Nelson walks in, with a bottle of Morgans best rum.

He sees, the problem in Prote.

Then leaves the port, and advices everyone too.
