RP- A Problem in Prote

[Jack Teach]

Jack says as he looks at the enemy through a spyglass:

A man from one of the Prote ships just shouts to him.

We go back to Prote, and have everyone pray to whatever god or goddess they believe in that we get reinforcements. If not, then some will stay and fight, and others may run to another port. We can decide when we get to Prote and see how its going there.

Jack and james' ships reach prote, every stitch of canvas flying

The port is nearly deserted, most of those who were able to flee having done so, what few remain have barricaded the windows and doors of most buildings, and have dug trenches all along various points. Near the center of the town, Zephyra and Eloth are in what appears to be a very heated argument between the 2 of them, their mother, an old Spanish admiral and a mean looking man in foreign clothes.

jack and James walk over. James says in a civil tone:

What's this about?

[Meliva]

The Spaniard points to the foreign man.

Well this arsehole is trying to get us all killed.

The foreigner just scoffs and responds

What happens to you all is on your own heads. I am just here to make sure agreements are kept and deals are honored.

Eloth just growls

Your just here to make sure the other mages don't help, so this port and the ones near it are all taken.

Vune just sighs and turns to Jack and James.

To make a long story short, this man is a envoy from the OTT guild-the major magic guild in the middle east-the same place that fleet is from. He is here, on account of a bunch of NAP's and truces that exist between guilds to make it to where me and my guild can't interfere. And unfortunately, he is indeed correct in the fact that interfereing would be a severe violation of these old agreements, so, sadly, neither I nor any member of my guild will be helping from this point onward.

[Jack Teach]

jack just growls:

Well, ****.

james' look turns sour. He turns to the admiral, bows, and says

There is a place I could offer you and your people refuge till you have enough time to gain enough forces to take this port back.

[Meliva]

Zephyra and Eloth just glower at the man, as Vune just chuckles as she looks to the 2 of them then to the Envoy, and with a chuckle in her voice she speaks loud and clearly so that the envoy and all the people around her can hear her.

You know, I think you 2 are not a good fit for our guild. I officially kick you both out. What you do from here on out no longer is affiliated with my guild. Have fun kiddies.

Vune casually walks off as the Envoy curses her out with a long list of slurs and words before finally stomping away and shouting back at her

Of course you would finagle your way out of a honorable agreement. You will pay for this underhandedness Vune.

The 2 of them gone Eloth just grins

Well, guess that means I can fight after all. I think the Spanish admiral here said he's got a good sized army nearby to help guard the port. If it falls, we can retreat back to another stronghold and mount a counterattack.

Jack says to Zephyra in a hushed whisper

What about the island? When will they attack it? Or are they?

[Meliva]

She whispers back

No clue. The OTT group blocked any and all attempts we made to figure out their plans and movement. But we shouldn't be worried about your island for a while. Remember 2 of the 3 paths to it are heavily fortified and guarded. They would either need to power through them, and take heavy damage, or go south through the Tokelau pass, while we can make it back much faster through the Great strait. And since Emily lives there, she can consider any attack launched on the island an attack on her, and be within her rights to fight them off without breaking any of our truces.
