After about a day of sailing, off in the distance a massive fleet can be seen. Around 100 large ships, most of them first or second rates approaches. The young admiral sees this, and shouts rather loudly.

You know, this reminds me of that joke about the captain with the brown pants. I think I know how he feels now, I nearly needed a pair myself. Jokes aside men, prepare for battle, We can't win but let's try to sink a few before we die or need to retreat.

Some of the men chuckle at his joke, but remain looking grim, as they quickly prepare for battle, Zephyra see's this fleet looks and thinks for a moment before turning to a nearby golem, and giving an order.

Fight until this ship sinks. Try to board one of their ships too and send a team of golems to kill the crew and take a ship if possible.

Zephyra then quickly hops off her ship, and begins flying back to port, she stops for a moment, and quickly flies over to Jack's ship and tosses him a small orb before speaking.

If you end up needing to run, that little orb will let you and a few other's with you fly, good luck, ill be going back to port to tell them the size of the fleet and help them prepare for it when it arrives.

Zephyra quickly flies off, as the Enemy fleet approaches.

Jack surveys the enemy with a spyglass, he claps it shut

Good God....we'll be smashed to pieces. This'll cost me.

he looks through the telescope again and shouts

All ships! Beat to quarters!

Jack's and James' ships prepare for battle to the beating of drums.

The 2 fleets quickly both get into lines of battle, the young admiral can see quite easily that the enemy is using their superior numbers to their advantage and are attempting to cross the T. Zephyra's ship, meanwhile, having been given orders to try to board, ignore any sort of formations or lines of battle and sails full speed towards the enemy ships, drawing quite a lot of the fire, The admiral shrugs and decides to try to take advantage of it, and quickly orders the fleet to fire, while shouting for a few ships to try to prevent the enemy from crossing the t. He shouts very loudly about it.

For the love of god, don't let them cross the t. We won't last long as it is, but if they cross the t, were all sunk in no time.

Jack and his ships sail over to intercept the ships attempting to cross the line, the black banner breaking out at the mizzen. The broadside that hits the 112 gunned Saint dismas, aimed at her hull, bounces straight of, doing pretty much nothing. The dismas fires her broadside, knocking the mainmast with a single broadside, and sending splinters all over, every ball striking something(her men being able to do this as they are the oldest veterans in Jack's fleet). They get of another broadside, ripping through the enemy ship's side, bowing it up. The other ships fire, firing quicker than their enemy, so despite the enemy being bigger, (with the exception of the two first rates jack brought) they still inflict a lot of damage

The enemy fleet quickly begins firing canister shot upon the Dismas, focusing on killing the crew rather then damage the ship, countless shots sail through, tearing through countless men, bloodying the decks, most of the other ships, fire normal shot on the other ships, causing severe damage. On the other side of the line, there ships begin crossing the T from the opposite Line, catching everyone off guard, and causing even more damage. The golem ship, sails straight forward, having taken massive damage and barely remaining afloat as it rams into one of their ships, all the golems quickly rushing onto it, and slaughtering the crew. In the ships powder room they ignite it, sinking themselves and all the golems into the depths. Within the first half hour of battle both sides have taken heavy damage, but the admiral is down to just 7 ships, he shouts out a final order.

Ships Harold, Esmeralda and Constantine, fall back to Prote, the rest of you, keep fighting with me to buy them time to get back to port and warn them of the force.

The 3 best remaining ships quickly begin to retreat, while the other 4 shield them and continue the battle. The enemy fleet, while having taken quite some damage is still rather large.

The dismas doesn't stop firing, and the crew on deck simply won't be knocked down completely. Jack's ships continue to spit fire and steel, doing massive damage. Jack stands tall, blood pouring down the side of his face, he breathes in then powder smoke. He turns to his lieutenant

It's probably time to leave soon.

The enemy fleet continues pounding canister and grape shot upon the Dismas, at this point, the deck Is nearly painted red with blood and guts, and the sails are looking a tad torn as well. The 4 ships that went forth to serve as a barrier are quickly being blasted to bits, and won't be able to buy much more time. The 3 other ships however are quickly sailing back north, the crew tossing large barrel mines into the water as a way to slow down the pursers, some of them shouting for the pirates to either hurry up and flee north, or be trapped with the enemy.

The enemy fleet quickly finishes off the remaining defenders and begin sailing to the nearby island. Jack and his ships along with the 3 remaining Prote ships manage to escape. The 3 Prote ships speed along while dumping mines along the way, hoping that it will slow them down and that reinforcements will be waiting for them at Prote.
