I had over time have grown tired of dumping money into influence to watch it get blown away without much effort, with no real way to defend it other than dumping even more money into it. So I decided to try life as a pirate, as it didn't involve any nation and I didn't have to worry about influence. A choice I had been considering for some time. I mean simply taking the port isn't what I would call a victory for you and a loss for them. They may take it back after all. Now if you manage to keep it from them for a good period of time then id say it was a victory.

if they help keep it, I would say so, but if the majority of them don't touch it, and state they don't intend to try to keep it I would say its all on clockwork and his allies.
