How about a Tech that provides a reduction in costs? Maybe like 0.5 %, 0.75%, or 1% reduction per level. Max Level of 20.

Tech should be nation specific. Research by nation not individuals. I think something like this was proposed. Individuals would need to add investment into a plantation building or plantation research to get the nation techs.

I can't remember the details exactly, but it was proposed in one of the threads.

By Nation, you mean that the Nation you belong to must invest in the Tech for it to apply?

I don't remember the details honestly. Either by the port holding nation or your own. I will do some digging and see if i can find the post...... I think it was part of port buildings discussion but not 100% sure.

But, if the nation is to research a tech, wouldn't this means goods wouldn't be used like player tech does.
